We live to find happiness and we could only enjoy it to the fullest if we attain success which could be achieved in one-thousand-and-one ways. The following is the product of my instant thoughts while reading an article about success.
It is you that determines your success in life. It is your family that has molded you to get success to your life. It is the community where you live that sustains the success you want to. It is the school that teaches and prepares you to be successful. It is the church that builds the needed faith to keep yourself steadfast to achieving success.
Everyone wants to be successful in all his endeavor and enjoys the happiness that is brought about that success. You, yourself is the major factor that could warrant whether you are successful someday or not. Nowadays, nobody has the opportunity to be successful whether you are disabled, deformed or whatever. The world is so kind that it opens the opportunity to those kinds of person to reach the success of their ambition in life.
To expound it simply and to present it to the point, success is a 7-letter word with a respective meaning for every word. First S stands for simplicity. It is easy to achieve a goal which is simple and reachable. Then it is followed by U which stands for “you” is the subject, the doer, and the responsible person to work it out. Relying to others is a sign of incapability of doing it.
C comes next. It stands for a character which determines the willingness, the determination to reaching your goal. Without this kind of attitude, success may never ever be realized. The second C is for commitment. If you are always complaining, resisting or making excuses to any type of work you are asked to do, success is so slim to be reached. This requires the unconditional commitment to do things and to accomplish it as expected.
What kind of E follows the second C? This is endurance, making things to get done. Endurance is not something to get used to, but it is something to complete whatever matters. The third S is for the system. It calls for organizing things in order, taking things on their priority so that none would be misplaced, unattended to or be left behind. And the last S to complete SUCCESS is for surrender.
Surrender doesn’t mean of giving up or getting the feeling of being defeated, frustrated, but it is rather a surrender to the will of the Lord. He controls you, those around you, and everything. By surrendering yourself to Him is to rely upon his Will. God knows what is best for you. God knows your strength. God knows you weakness. But acknowledging Him as your great Provider, Savior and Redeemer, He won’t fail you. He will grant the success you want in life.
In a nutshell, therefore, SUCCESS stands for Simplicity, U (text form of You), Character, Commitment, Endurance, System, and Surrender. It is written that way for easy recall, for easy interpretation, for easy application. You may have your own way of defining success based on your experience, based on your own simple unique way. It’s up to you on what to do as long as you may consider yourself a success.

Simple success can bring happiness from within. It is not always in a bed of roses. It can be in simple things and sometimes people forget this. The most important thing to have happiness is inner peace. Even the most successful person in this world yearns for inner peace.
The peace of mind gets from being contented, from attaining it after the big "storm" is a success per se. Anything, I should say, that brings happiness without reservation, without expecting something in return is a typical success. In short, if it satisfies you. It could be considered as the essence of success.
Well, in the practical point of view, success depends on how the doer or the recipient appreciates it. For others, it may not. If you ask the kids, for them, success when they know, see and feel that they are loved by their parents. When I was courting my wife, I consider success when I always see her sweet smile, talk to her, hear her sweet voice. and touch her soft, delicate hands.
In short, success is too subjective. It is the actor that determine if he has achieved his goal or not, if he has accomplished his task for the day or not. Whatever it is, I should say success is happines.
