My favorite Incidents in cricket ***Vol. 6 *****

This is the 6^th Episode of the series of my favorite incidents of Cricket. It was the match played between South Africa and Australia and is played in the New Wanderers Stadium,  Johannesburg  South Africa. Series was tied at 2-2 with both teams winning 2 games each and now it’s the Sunday and the decider of the series and the winner will takes all. Australia won the toss and decided to bat first and their decision was proved good by their batting and All players contributing well with the bat and Skipper Ricky ponting making 164 runs in 105 balls with 13 fours and 9 sixes at a Strike rate of more then 155, he was well assisted by M E K Hussey, who also batted very well for his well made 81 runs of 51 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes at an exceptional strike rate of more than 158 and with late order brilliance of Andrew Symonds and Brett lee, Australia ended their innings at 434 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 50 over’s. So it’s the South Africa’s turn now but everyone thought that Australia has already won the game as this type of target has never been chased and its equal to impossible but All the South African supporter’s have their hopes with the opening partnership of Graeme Smith the skipper of S A team and B dipennar, but to everyone’s frustration B Dipennar was out in the second over on the bowling of N Bracken. Now two of the most great batsmen of SA team were batting Smith and H Gibbs and they played so great and well that they have put South Africa in winning position but the Smith got out at the score of 90 in 55 balls but H Gibbs is still going strong but eventually he also lost his wicket at the Individual score of 175 in 111 balls but he has already put SA in winning ways and now the middle order and lower middle order has helped the South African team to reach the target and M Boucher the veteran Wicket keeper of the team finished the match for SA. It was indeed a great game to witness.
