My Favorite cricket match **Vol. 1 **

I have many favorite cricket matches. But still some are my most favorite.

This is first in the list it was played between Pakistan and New Zealand in Queenstown Events Centre, Queenstown, New Zealand on 7^th Jan, 2004.

Pakistan won the toss and chooses to bowl and invited New Zealand to bat first.

Pakistan 11 looks like this: Mohammad Sami, Shabbir Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousuf,Inzamam-ul-Haq (c), Abdul Razzaq, Yasir Hameed, Imran Farhat, Azhar Mahmood, Moin Khan (wk), Saleem Elahi

And New Zeland 11 looks like: Stephen Fleming (c), Chris Cairns, Hamish Marshall, Craig McMillan, Scott Styris, Jacob Oram, Brendon McCullum (wk), Daryl Tuffey, Daniel Vettori,Craig Cumming, Ian Butler

New Zealand batted well and posted the total of 235 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 over’s with Wicket keeper batsman Bren. Mcculum making the highest score for New Zealand, he makes 56 runs in 51 balls with 6 fours at the strike rate of 110 and he has the help of New Zealand’s finest all rounder of all time Chris cairns who made 54 from 61 balls with 5 fours at the strike rate of 89.

Pakistan batted well and with the help of Mohammed yusuf who made the contributions of unbeaten 88 runs in 106 balls with 10 fours at the strike rate of 83 and imran farhat who made 87 in 104 balls with 8 fours and 1 six at the strike rate of 84. Pakistan won the match by 6 wickets with 3 more overs to spare and Mohammed Yusuf was the man of the match for his fine knock of 88 runs and he was the one who stand tall against the bowling line up of New Zealand and also helped a very young batsman Imran farhat to made 87 runs and have a kick start to his one day international career.

So this series is now stand tied 1-1 with 3 more games to play as New Zealand won the first one day international.
