India Won the 2nd ODI match of Tri Series Against Pakistan

India, South Africa and Pakistan were scheduled to play 7 One Day International Tri series Matches in UAE in 2000.

It was a very interesting series as these teams were playing some great cricket on that time. The 2nd match of 7 One day international Tri Series was played on Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah on 23rd March, 2000. Between India and Pakistan

Pakistan won the toss and opts to bat first and this means India will bowl first and will chase target set by Pakistan later in the game.

Pakistan started poorly and were 5 wickets down for only 108 runs in 29 over’s in the form of S Afridi, A Razzaq, I Nazir, M Yousuf and Inza mam ul Haq. And after that Pakistan kept losing wickets on regular intervals of the game and they were eventually bowled out for only 146 runs in 46 over’s and I Nazir top scored for them with 43 runs in 51 balls and Inza mam ul haq made 41 runs in 77 balls.

India was required to score 147 runs in 50 over’s to win this game.

India batted well and were able to chase the target in only 43 over’s at the loss of only 5 wickets and M Azhar was the top scorer with 54 runs In 89 balls.

M Azhar was the Man of the match for his great batting. This win has put India on 2^nd spot in the points table with 1 win and 1 lose and South Africa is on top of the table with 1 win in single match.
