India vs South Africa 1st test (4th innings) Series played in 2015

South Africa was required to score target of only 218 runs to win this 1^st Test match of 4 test match series and take 1-0 lead as they concede the lead of 17 runs which was added in the India’s total which they make in 2^nd innings.

South Africa batted very poorly and was kept losing wickets at regular intervals in the game and as Indian spinners were bowling very well and  eventually S A was only  able to make 109 runs in 39.5 over’s and was bowled out and top scores by Star batsman S V Ziel  who made 36 runs in 82 balls with 6 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 44 runs in 100 balls, Dean E made 16 runs in 47 balls with 1 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 34 runs in 100 balls and South African top batsman Ab De Villiers made 16 runs in 18 balls with 2 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 89 runs in 100 balls.

India won the match by 108 runs and takes lead of 1-0 with 3 more game still to play in this series. South Africa batted poorly and was unable to repeat the same performance in batting and bowling which they showed in One Day International matches or even in T 20 matches. South Africa has this habit of doing these things and in that way they lost many matches in the past as well.

For India R Jadeja was the pick of bowlers in the 4^th innings as he took 5 wickets by only giving away 21 runs in 11.5 over’s and 4 of his over’s were maiden and R C Ashwin took 3 wickets by giving away 39 runs in 14 over’s with 5 maiden over’s and A Mishra and V Aaron also took 1 wicket each and provide India a handsome victory against a very tough competitor like S A.

R Jadeja was the Man of the match for his match winning performance and his all round ability with bat and ball helped India a lot.
