India beat West Indies in Tri Series, 2013

India and Sri Lanka was scheduled to play a 7 Match One Day International Tri Series in West Indies in 2013. All teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 2,3 and 6. The 4th ONE DAY international match was to be played on Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad, and West Indies on 5th July 2013 between West Indies and India. India holds the upper hand as they are more experienced team and playing very well as well.

West Indies won the toss and opts to bowl first; this is how West Indies team and 11 was looking like in this 4th ONE DAY international match: Dwayne Bravo (c), Chris Gayle, Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Kieron Pollard, Kemar Roach, Darren Bravo, Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul, Johnson Charles

And Indian team and 11 was looking like this in this 4th ONE DAY international Match: Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravichandran Ashwin,Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav

India batted very well and was able to post total of only 311 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 7 wickets and with top scores of Virat K who made 102 runs in 83 balls with 13 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 123 runs in 100 balls and S Dhawan who made 69 runs in 77 balls with 8 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 90 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies was needed to score 312 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

West Indies batted well but was able to chase the target of 312 runs and was able to make only 171 runs in 34 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 102 runs under D and L method and with top contributions from J Charles who made 45 runs in 38 balls with 6 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 118 runs in 100 balls.

India won the match by 102 runs.
