I graduated high school in 2011, wasn’t too long ago that I was worried about having a vest friend.
Now I have my two children and my boyfriend who are my best friends.
Since I’ve gotten out of highschool I went to college and I received my degree. I received an associate’s degree in Allied Health Science. Cool right? This major would allow me to be an assistant or some type of tech. I would like to eventually do surgical tech.
Unfortunately for me I don’t have a very high self esteem. I’ve been going through some things and I’m trying to find my way back to where I once was.
I liked that place where I believed that I could do anything. I currently have a 2 job opportunities for a home care agency. One position is on call coordinator where I would be responsible for taking calls after the agency closes and taking notes. Reporting my information and sending in paper work once a week. This is part time. The other position would be a home health aide. I would be going into peoples homes and helping take care of them.
The on call coordinator has a full time position open and I’m pretty sure I can muscle it but I’m unsure of myself because of past struggles. I don’t know what I actually want to do with my self but I’m tired of working dead end jobs.
Where A I either get paid off or B I don’t get enough hours. I love helping people and I like making people smile. Love making there day and having random funny conversations.
Am I freaking out or am I right to be a little cautious. I live in New York and racism is still very real, some people might not want to believe it but it is. Sometimes because of my skin I am discriminated against but the people interviewing me will never tell me that. I’m nervous and I know I have to take care of my babies but I feel like I’m taking a plunge. This is a new company and I’d be unsupervised in someone else’s home depending on what job I take. I don’t want to waste my time but I don’t want to miss out either.
