Barefood in the sand a book by the author roxanne claire, a writer that I do guess did not read for her before, but this is the first book in a series, so I guess its ok to see her writing style and thinking in this book

The ratings online for that book is 3.9/10, yet its good book to read, you may say then why it has that rating, its because the story is simple and kinda predictable.

Lacey living happily as single firm mom, and a successful business owner. all of sudden these things are in danger due to a Hurricane Damien destroy her house, first she was sad but then with the insurance money she made her dream come true by building the bed and breakfast

One day while she was on the beach a guy named Clay goes direct to her, and discuss the building of bed and breakfast. Mr. Walker, by mistake thinks its Clay Walker the owner of Walker and Architecture Design when she knew later its not him dismisses Clay.

Clay is determined to do her dream design as future depends on it. So all of sudden while in truck, Zoe Lacey’s friends ask him for directions to the beach, at that time he knows that she is her friend, give some sketches ot her to and it to Lacey. Lacey was so really truly totally happy to see Zoe, Jocelyn, and Tessa and they reached for her to support her in after the hurricane. Zoe give the sketches to Lacey and she was astonished and loved them and feels she made really mistake by refusing his offer and with her friends encouraging and pushing her for accepting his offer, at last she agrees and feels happy to give Clay the work that she was always dreaming of to be true in her life now

On the other hand Clay is good looking guy but he got secret that bothers him and he knows that sooner or later he will have to admit it to Lacey

Secret related to his personal and work too, add to this that he find himself attracted to Lacey. though his motives were to do the job only, seeing her daily and knowing her makes his passion for the work less than his passion to Lacey, but it is not only him on the ground her ex also is back to win her. MR Fox, wants Lacey and their daughter again , She was done with David but when she sees him again she become vulnerable due to the hurt that he caused her in the past and now reliving that life like it or not

it is a book about a woman who lost and then got on her feet to fid her way again. Solely about Lacey and her luck in work and love . I liked the book so much, It was her powering life style and her daughter and her lover that supported her. And that made the book a great book to buy , it tells you that we all have the right to feel the happiness and although we may face the up and downs in life we need to stand up face conflicts and win.
