Bangladesh beat Ireland in 2nd ODI in Bilateral Series

Ireland was scheduled to play a 3 Match One Day international series in Bangladesh. This series will be great as both teams are playing good cricket and its difficult to beat Bangladesh in their home conditions Still Ireland holds the edge over Bangladesh.

The 2nd One day International Match was scheduled to play on Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh on 20th March.

Bangladesh won the toss and opts to bat first and this means Ireland will bowl first.

Bangladesh batted very well and was able to make 246 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and was top scored by Aftab A who made 61 runs in 57 balls with 2 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 107 runs in 100 balls and S Nafees made 60 runs in 92 balls with 5 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 65 runs in 100 balls.

Ireland was needed to score 247 runs to win this 2^nd One Day international match and to stay alive in this series as they already lost the 1^st ODI match.

Ireland again batted poorly and was bowled out for only 162 runs in 38.3 over’s and was top scored by A botha who made 34 runs in 36 balls with 2 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 94 runs in 100 balls.

Bangladesh won the match by 84 runs and F Raza was the Man of the Match. Bangladesh won the series 2-0 with 1 more game to play.
