Ankara Did Not Kill Andrew Karluv

ANKARA DID NOT KILL ANDREY KARLOV
The assassination of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov, at the Ankara Art Exhibition in Turkey is a calculated attempt to pitch Russia against Turkey. It is undoubtedly a pure conspiracy to derail the ongoing peace process in Syria. Enemies of peace should make no mistake, Turkey will never backout of her efforts aimed at restoring peace in the war-torn country. Turkey and other allies will see to the end of war in Syria.
The war in Syria is a scar in our conscience. The silence of the United Nations Security Council has reached the highest decibel. The quietness of the Arab League is deafening. The passive attitude of Muslim leaders across the globe is nauseating and pungent. The world is watching nonchalantly with no decisive action taken to bring the war to a halt.
The attendant pogrom has eroded the war of any noble cause. The war has dramatically lost its very essence and value. Any civil strife that leads to loss of innocent lives and property of the civil populace cannot advance any just purpose in the heart of any reasonable human being. Lives are lost. Property are destroyed. Children are orphaned. Women are raped. Clergymen are massacred. Scholars are mercilessly butchered. The quantum of scholars killed in this senseless war is unquantifiable. Sheikh Professor Saheed Ramadan Al-Buutiy, a world-class scholar by any estimation, is a victim of this needless war. If you don’t know Saheed Ramadan, you must have heard of his son (Prof. Tariq Ramadan), who is ranked among the 100 great thinkers living on this planet! Prof. Tariq is in the class of great scholars like You-you Tu and Thomas Edison.
Today, Syria is fast losing its human face. People are rendered homeless in their fatherland. What a pity! People are turned into refugees, right inside their country. If the war is brought to an abrupt end, Syria won’t still be the same in the next one hundred years.
My advice is that people of goodwill must raise their voices and speak against sustaining this dehumanising war in Syria. Also, if allowing Al-Assad holding on to power is what will swiftly restore the long-lost peace to Syria, so be it. Let’s peace reign in Syria. We must not keep quiet.
