    • It’s the clear base in the Chinese soups that I really like. In fact, I always tell people the best way to judge if a Chinese restaurant is good is by their won ton soup. Bad won ton soup. Bad restaurant. If they can’t get that cleat broth tasty, the rest of the meal probably won’t be that good either. Eh! That’s just what I say! 🙂 I love almost any kind of soup.

    • This soup is unusual in our place. I think the recipe is easy to follow.
I have to try this one because it seems like a very good soup for the family.

bestwriter wrote a new post, The Benefits And Uses Of Gelatin In Recipes 7 years, 11 months ago

Little knowledge is dangerous they say. This could be said about gelatin. The uses of gelatin in our recipes be they deserts, pies, appetizers, salads, jams and jellies is a known fact. But did you know of the […]

    • I do not like gelatin because its made by boiling animal bones and tissues I think it is dangerous for health and heart but I have seen most of the children and people eat it with keen interest and eagerly at home and out of home.

Actually gelatin is a protein made jelly as A type of protein derived from collagen, gelatin is found in animal parts that provide us with important amino acids, the “building blocks” of proteins. In fact, its unique amino acid profile is the reason for many of its health benefits, which you’ll read about below.

But One of the reasons is because gelatin provides amino acids like glycine that strengthen the gut lining and therefore lower inflammation. Glycine is used by doctors to help improve digestive, joint, cardiovascular, cognitive and skin health.

      Benefits of Gelatin
      Improves Gut Health and Digestion
      2. Protects Joints and Lowers Joint Pain
      3. Helps Improve Sleep Quality
      4. Lifts Your Mood and Improves Cognitive Abilities
      5. Improves Skin Health
      6. Helps Maintain Heart Health
      7. Maintains Strong Bones
      8. Helps You Feel Full

Gelatin is a form of hydrolyzed collagen, which means it’s essentially a part of broken-down collagen. Collagen is “the most abundant protein in the animal kingdom” and the major component of connective tissue in the human body, amazingly making up about a quarter of our total body mass. (10)

Collagen is a key builder of healthy skin, muscle, tendons, joints, bones and other tissue in both humans and animals, so when we don’t produce enough it’s no wonder our health suffers big time. Within the body, collagen goes through a series of steps to break down its long chain proteins into its original amino acids, which are then absorbed and used for collagen synthesis throughout the body.

With more and more opting for off the counter food and having lost interest in gardening, produce of small time farmers has no takers. Be it fruits, vegetables and even herbs rot in their gardens. Hotels and those […]

    • Yes, home gardening is real hobby and thus we cab get fresh fruits and vegetables at door to enjoy we all must grow home plants to get fresh everything the whole year. Farming dreams are a modern seduction. For city dwellers, the vision of making a living from the earth salves the psychic wounds of a day job, and acts as an antidote to urban malaise.

If you could just get out there on the land, far from spreadsheets and stress, cubicles and car alarms, things would surely be different. Eating overripe tomatoes, fresh from the vine and bursting with juice. Cavorting with goats.

Though small farmers believe their lives are far from ideal, I can’t think of any farmer who would switch to a life in the city. So how do you get the best of both worlds? How can you maximize profit from your land, small farm or homestead? You don’t have to stop at growing crops. Through diversification and thinking like an entrepreneur, you can achieve a much higher yield from your farm while keeping the lifestyle you love.

Here are 26 ideas for you to consider for making the most of your farm. Of course, some of these ideas will be more practical than others depending on region, type of farm, etc.

    • It is always fun to harvest your own produce, more so if you are using natural fertilizers. You can get away from the effects of chemical fertilizers or pesticides which are harmful to the environment.

If you are producing on a small scale, you can scout for farmers market or look for vendors who will be willing to sell your produce. Both of you can earn from it.

    • Yes, it is fascinating to watch how old people use modern technology.

    • I leave just one message for the youths of the whole try to recognize their being that will heighten your personality to the peak of name and fame. Do not follow others’ trends but follow your birth trends in which lies your key success. All types of hobbies are the tools to enhance your personalities, do not be the slaves of these tools will lead the youngsters to fall. JH Sayyar

    • It is time a similar message is sent to seniors as well as they too are following in the steps of youngsters

    • Let’s consider the cycle of life and also how the world evolved to the modern age. There is indeed a great difference. We, of course, get hurt for we are not used to it. We are not accustomed to the present folkways and mores. I think there is nothing worry that about. We have still enough time go with the tide. Remember the Darwinian theory of survival of the fittest? Let’s adjust ourselves. Let’s not compel those youngsters to do of what we’d been doing anciently. Let’s welcome the new world.

It’s good for you that you involve yourself on socializing through the online media facilities like the Facebook, the email, and anything that matters. In fact, I miss those good old days where our family get together for a party, for a special occasions like wedding, anniversaries, graduations, house blessings, and many more. I could still remember the joy, the happiness which everyone received from such occasions. Let’s be adaptable. Let’s not be hurt. Let’s take it or leave it provided we don’t neglect ourselves to be happy.

    • Yes, it is a fact that gardening nursery is dying these days because people have changed their hobbies they are forgetting nature and sitting in her lap because that are chasing the target of huge money for life comforts at home especially for their families but gardening enhances home’s decoration and provide fresh air to the children who are still toddlers.

GROWING your own vegetables is both fun and rewarding. All you really need to get started is some decent soil and a few plants. But to be a really successful vegetable gardener — and to do it organically — you’ll need to understand what it takes to keep your plants healthy and vigorous. Here are the basics.

“Feed the soil” is like a mantra for organic gardeners, and with good reason. In conventional chemical agriculture, crop plants are indeed “fed” directly using synthetic fertilizers.

When taken to extremes, this kind of chemical force-feeding can gradually impoverish the soil. And turn it from a rich entity teeming with microorganisms insects and other life forms, into an inert growing medium that exists mainly to anchor the plants’ roots, and that provides little or no nutrition in its own right.

    • I hardly find anyone in my real world interested in gardening. It it only here that I get to see some showing interest. Sad but true.

bestwriter wrote a new post, Wristwatches That Cost a Bomb 7 years, 11 months ago

There is a huge difference between needs and wants. A wristwatch that costs a bomb surely comes under the category of one’s wants.

Let’s look at the scenario of someone wanting to know what time it is. […]

    • There are many watches that are most expensive and a normal person cannot buy it because it becomes too much costly. At some point in time, everyone has held, worn, or owned a Rolex Submariner. This one is special because it was held, worn, and owned by the one and only Steve McQueen.

That’s right, the “King of Cool” owned this particular submersible, self-winding, stainless steel oyster bracelet Rolex. You’re getting time, Rolex, and bona fide badassery.

Rounding out the Patek trinity is the Ref 5016P (The P stands for platinum, duh). This watch is the second most complicated wristwatch (the first one was a pocket watch so it doesn’t count) that Patek has produced.

The problem with watches of this caliber the need for adjustments, but Patek has an app for that. If you keep this moon-phase, perpetual calendar, retrograde behemoth running continuously it won’t need adjusting until 2100. That’s something your children’s children’s children will most certainly appreciate.

Buying this watch would require selling 3.5 Bugatti Veyrons, which happens to be 70% of the total number they sold in 2005. The closest most of us will ever get to a Veyron is drooling over it on Top Gear. It’s all about perspective here people. Three Veyrons. Say it out loud – Three. Veyrons. So what makes this watch worth $5.12mil? For starters, it is the most complicated watch on the planet with 33 complications.

Essentially, it requires a degree in mechanical engineering to understand, but suffice it to say it has everything but the kitchen sink. It also took more time to design than you spent in college (including those extra years “studying” chemistry).

Dont smoke.mostly people smoke and use different drugs which really damage them.

      • Thanks. Must of it is in our hands and it is not difficult at all. Reaching towards health the fun way is what we should be doing.

    • I love that you wrote this post about seniors. The congregation where I attend worship services has a group that often gets together to do things and stay active. They used to call themselves “The Old Bunch”. Now they call themselves “The Fun Bunch”. 🙂

      • Wow!! You thought I was in my twenties? That must be the mind you are talking about 😀

Seniors can do great if they look after themselves.

    • Sorry for extra comments. I meant to also add that I didn’t know you were a senior. For some reason I had in mind that you were in your twenties. 🙂

    • wow! this is an amazing article. I am extremely happy there is somebody who is taking and talking about seniors who are most often viewed as neglected creatures on the planet Earth.

      You have rightly said that keeping oneself busy and preoccupied is always a good way . This makes one busy throughout his day. He will be concentrating on various things. He can take up;
      walking
      joining in a club
      laughing club
      reading
      writing
moving with friends and occasionally visiting them.
      playing with children
      doing yoga
and maintaining a good and regular diet

Just recently I read a post. A Turkish Guru is now living a comfortable life. He is aged 95.He looks as 45. The secret behind his health he says that he does Prayer to the Sun early in the morning. and do some difficult yoga postures. Is it not amazing? How can Praying the Sun will give good health?
He says that by doing Yoga he will always have control over his body and the brain has got the power to regenerate the dead cells and active the destroyed muscles even. Totally unbelievable.

    • nice article…

    • This is an eye opener for I am also a senior citizen. I have just turned 65 recently. Though I take a maintenance medicine for the stabilization of my blood pressure, I take early morning a brisk walking to keep myself healthy fit. I feel really good. I am not free from stress of supervising my teachers in school, in handling problems created by our school children and their parents as well.

I have no vices whatsoever. I never drink. I never smoke. I am very selective of what I eat. I usually eat leafy vegetables, sparingly eating meat. My wife is a good cook. She knows what is good for me and she always prepares it. My wife and I are already in our senior age. We maintain a better relationship and go to Church together with our grandchildren. We do have time to date at the public plaza, eat outside, play our favorite songs, sing and dance. We do what we are doing when we are teenagers.

    • Yes, it is a good and informative article that how seniors make their health good in extra time especially in old age. People in my country are living longer than ever before. Many seniors live active and healthy lives. But there’s no getting around one thing: as we age, our bodies and minds change.

There are things you can do to stay healthy and active as you age.It is important to understand what to expect. Some changes may just be part of normal aging, while others may be a warning sign of a medical problem. It is important to know the difference, and to let your healthcare provider know if you have any concerns.

Last night I read that Canadians are enjoying longer life spans and better health than ever before. The proportion of seniors in the Canadian population is expected to double by 2025. Health Canada is proactively conducting research and planning to better understand the needs of Canadian seniors and to ensure that programs and services respond to Canada’s demographic aging.

If old men and seniors tale exercise daily they may save from these diseases as
      vCommon chronic conditions include:3

      Heart Disease
      Cancer
      Chronic bronchitis or emphysema
      Stroke
      Diabetes mellitus
      Alzheimer’s disease

    • I have used aloe vera all my life. Besides the uses you mentioned it is antiseptic and a piece can be placed over a wound and it heals without a scar.

    • I used to drink aloe vera juice and it was quite nice.

    • You are so right about the gel being good for minor skins or your skin. In Miami, those plants were everywhere! Lots of people had them in their yards. If the neighbor wanted they would break off a piece and share. The aloe plant is a miracle plant! They are easy to grow as they practically grow themselves. It has lots of medicinal purposes.

      • I have a few pots but sadly I do not use them the way I should. I have a dry scalp. I am now thinking of applying the gel on my scalp before going for my bath.

    • I agree with what you said. Aloe Vera is a ONE SOLUTION FOR MANY PROBLEMS.
I have joined a multinational company which manufactures the products like creams, soaps, gels, moisturizers, lotions, tabs for slimming body, powders, ointments for burns, skin products, Hair Oils etc. which are all based on Aloe Vera. They work very effectively.

There are many people who are doing a lucrative business and earning good money with the Aloe Vera plantation.

A person who has a land of 1 acre can easily get 1 lakhs per 1 Aloe vera crop. But he should provide necessary water and good manure for getting a good variety of Aloe Vera. If the soil is good like in Andhra region of Andhra Pradesh with good water facility he can reap a crop in a year.

This is the only plant which makes one energetic even when there is loss of blood. I drink Aloe Vera Juice regularly and I recommended this plant for many ailments.

    • i use Aloe Vera gel on my eyelashes to keep them long and nourished and it does work—i also use on my scalp as well—good stuff.

    • I just found out that my HDL is low and my LDL is high but my triglycerides were normal. I know I need to make a change but I just don’t know where to start.

      • If you like wine go for red wine and see the difference. My doctor recommended that i take 190 ml on five days of the week. You can increase your exercise as well among other things that i have written about.

Good wishes are on their way.

    • yes agree with you.and thank you for sharing useful information ,now a days because of the unhealthy food these kind of problems occurs in our body.

    • I feel bad that I was ignorant about cholesterol. My husband now has a heart condition and I worry if I could have changed our eating habits earlier on and prevented it. The thing is there were no warning signs. He was hardly ever sick. Even though heart disease is in his family, I thought his chances were minimal because he did not have the same bad habits as his father (mainly drinking and smoking). When he was diagnosed, I was completely taken aback. But I’ve since then adjusted and our diet has changed quite a bit. I had to change my diet to make sure he would change his. What are wives for? 🙂 We always look for natural ways to attack health problems.

    • I really wonder whether our old people really followed the tips that are mentioned in the article? No . Definitely ‘No’ is the answer as we all know. But how could they live for 80 and 90 years. What is the secret behind their living for good length of time? There is no answer that can give satisfactory explanation. THE IGNORANCE IS A BLISS THAN HAVING A KNOWLEDGE.

The tips MENTIONED in the Article may be useful for keeping us fit because we do not do physical exercise. There are people who do not walk properly. All bad habits. Besides this we got a fear complex of Diabetes, blood pressure, kidney problem.Unfortunately, the Doctors are having do not having good standard. They know how to refer a patient for a medical tests and get their commission.

I think doing some yoga regularly and nourishing the body with the tips enumerated in the article above will definitely keep one live long.

      • That is what I said in my post. My mother never knew there was such a thing as cholesterol and she lived beyond 90. Now that we know a bit about it, it haunts us.

    • Yes, it be cured naturally by everyone at home talking many positive exercises at homes on daily basis. Cholesterol is not a deadly poison, but a substance vital to the cells of all mammals. There are no such things as good or bad cholesterol, but mental stress, physical activity and change of body weight may influence the level of blood cholesterol. A high cholesterol is not dangerous by itself, but may reflect an unhealthy condition, or it may be totally innocent.

I think that In certain aspects low cholesterol is worse than high cholesterol. Already fifteen years ago, American researchers found that low cholesterol predicts an increased risk of dying from diseases of the stomach, the intestines and the lungs.

Children with allergic problems, such as asthma and hay fever, have lower cholesterol than healthy children. As allergic diseases have become more common and is still increasing in the Western world it is tempting to suggest that the cause is the increasing consumption of the polyunsaturated vegetable oils of the omega-6 type, because these oils are known to stimulate inflammatory processes, and allergy is a kind of inflammation.
