That is true. Since the parents should be the models to their children, they shouldn’t be watching TV too, but instead be with the children to teach and guide them in their homework.
They should see to it that they will study their lessons. Allow them to watch TV only on Saturdays. Sunday morning and afternoon, they can also be allowed. However in the evening no more. They have to prepare their school bags and do their homework.
Better still on Friday night, they should do their homeworks, so by Sunday night they can just study.
-
@Dina is right, we only allowed to watch the T.V after finishing our homework or even during Friday night and weekend is better.
My kids only able to watch T.V when they are at their granny’s house, we have no T.V at home, but computer is another kind of T.V too nowadays. My kids love to watch the Youtube or some videos clips at the social media too, but always restricted by us.
And, we always mention the computer is belong to me, not them, so they can simply manipulate it or doing something on it. They do alert on this.
We allocate 2 hours cartoon watching time every week for them to watch some cartoon at Youtube.

We allocate 2 hours cartoon watching time every week for them to watch some cartoon at Youtube. They are looking forward to this section every week and have to finish all the homework first.
And, they have ice cream section on Monday but provided have a nail cut first. This help us to set up a life rhythm of the kids, so they won’t have much argument when we urge them to do something as per scheduled.

Thanks for referring may be a link would help. Just a suggestion. Yes. I was at niume but the rigmarole of connecting to various sites put me off there. I did earn once. I have not closed the chapter but may try it later.
-
My Niume experience has been surprising! Not only have I received a warm welcome but the Niume Staff has shared some of my posts. My biggest shock was when I got an eMail that said one of my posts had been Featured. WHOA! “Staff Picked”?? Seriously? Me? I felt humbled and happy. So I’m going to hang out at that site for a while and see what it yields.
*(Psst. The content that was featured was republished content.)

So NIume is based on views that it generates. I think I will fail there because my FB friends don’t need additional income or have the passion for writing, so they don’t view them.
I suppose the defunct site you have implied is Bubblews. Oh, I earned a lot there. So, when it was slowing down and sensing it will close eventually, I went back to myLot.
Now it’s myLot for fun in interaction and some earnings and LB for earnings galore. 🙂
I cannot take another one because I have my full time job.

Just keep doing what works for you! 🙂

Great article. I, like you, look for opportunities to supplement my income. I will try the sites you recommended. I, for one, had have success with Mturk associated with Amazon. They have writing jobs and surveys. I found it to pay better than some of these sites. I, also, wrote a blog about making money with Mturk, so if interested, give it a shot. Anyway, congratulations on your past endeavors and keep up the good work.
-
Thank you! You’re not the only one who recommends Mturk. I have not looked into yet but it is definitely NOT off the table as another income possibility.

I have been on Mylot for years. It is harder to get some decent income but i love being there and interacting with everyone. I actually learned about LiteracyBase from a discussion on Mylot yesterday and deicided to try it out. I am actually liking it around here. It is good that all activities here are rewarded for.
Because i am at work i am limited for now, to only look around and explore or comment on blogs.
I haven’t written a blog yet but i intend to when i am at home.
-
You’ve done pretty good with the blog posts you’ve published since this comment and you also look to be active in the forums and groups. This is not a generating primary income although I suppose one could do that if they devoted themselves to it. But like I said in my post, it is a residual income stream. What I like is that it’s not a guess that you might earn money. When you sign in you can actually see your earning accumulating. I don’t know why all the online writing sites and blogging communities can’t do the same. Would love to find more sites like LB where all of your activity earns.
-
-
Looks like you’re adjusting just fine! 🙂

* * *Sadly the owner of the Niume site passed away and nobody wanted to continue the work. The site no longer exists.

I don’t trust science finding because they will one day come and disprove their own findings and tell us different things meanwhile they have created an information in the mind of people. They told us there were 12 planets in the univers and this was taught in schools over the year wbut now they are telling us they have found other planets disproving their own findings. There are many such things i cant talk about.

One of the reasons why this item caught my attention is because of the ease that people fall for scams. I won’t go into the numerous scams that run in my country… but why do people fall for them?
I have found that obverse of the scientific ‘otherness’ finding; that the person ‘just like you’ is the best scammer. The ‘businessman’ ropes in business men, the high school grad ropes in high school grads…
In court the accused scammer looks just like the people he scammed. They way they dress, talk, hold themselves, often age groups.

Interesting as one thing I learned when I ran pre-school is that children settle best when their key worker looks like their mum or main carer. We do bond best with the earliest good caregiver and so are likely to prefer people like them. As the caregiver is usually the same race and ethnicity then that would figure. It does in a way, come down to survival. That said, most people when you scratch the surface are the same under the skin, but every family is in itself, a culture even within cultures.
-
The research proves this; the ‘us’ and ‘them’, which is the basis of racism… difference. I have observed a lot of scams and find that the automatic trust we give to ‘us’ can be used against us.
