shaloo walia wrote a new post, Weird Indian rituals that will shock you! 1 week, 4 days ago

India is a culturally diverse country and has a rich cultural heritage. Every state of India has a different culture and different traditions. Though we are very proud of our culture and traditions, however there […]

    • It’s really shocking, especially the one where babies are dropped from 50 feet. It’s good if the baby will survive it or land unhurt in the hands of the people below!

    • Every province in my country has different festivities to celebrate on. But the list of rituals had mentioned were so weird. At some point, I wanted to see it for myself in the near future. I wanted to cover the story of the events and shared it to my personal blog.

    • While majority of the rituals which are being conducted at the above places and at many other places seem to weird to many, it is difficult to tell this to people who are having faith and believe in them. But the government from its end and people who are heads in the particular places in Hinduism are seeing to it that some thing which causes hurt to someone is not encouraged. But one cannot stop devotees at all places. One case to not is the supreme court of India asking devotees to see that the handi which is placed above during the Shri. Krishna Janmashtami be reduced as people are getting injured.

One more case is the court telling people not to play around with the lives of animals. Many temples which were earlier having restrictions are now allowing all members of society to enter to pray if they have faith in the devotee. People also have to learn to be rational and change with times. One cannot expect the government and temple authorities to do everything. Devotees will also change the mindset which is a slow process but there will be reform for the good. As far as Hinduism there were many other practices which used to exist which are not being followed anymore as the religion has correction course and reform taking place within. Thanks for the share.

    • I think stress-work related is normal to the employees in certain companies. It is worth to have a job if a person can handle it well. That’s the part of facing the challenges. There are so many factors that make a person demotivated. If it is overwhelming and cannot tolerate working in a certain job. Thus, they need to file a resignation and find a job suitable for them.

shaloo walia wrote a new post, Do you spend time in solitude? 2 weeks, 6 days ago

Solitude is not everyone’s cup of tea. Some people are extroverts and they always like to be surrounded with people. Even the introverts may not really enjoy solitude but they remain alone because of their i […]

    • This is so me. I have heard series of complains about me being too quiet, introvert, kill joy bla, bla. It doesn’t move me one bit. I love being alone, just give me a nice movie, it does not bother me. There are times I beg my husband to please go out, I stylishly ask questions on Why he isn’t going for a game of squash? I just want the moment to be alone. I don’t think, but just love it. As a mother, we need that peace once in a while to be alone. Some do not enjoy being alone, my mum hates it, but I absolutely love it. That does not mean I do not like having friends around, but there is time for everything, my body has to be in tune with what I want.

    • You are right in the sense that it is good to have a time for oneself where you don’t want to be bothered by anyone so you can keep to yourself and appreciate what life has offered you and what you can do to help yourself through it all. there are certain times you need to take account of certain events in your life that you don’t even need your family to know of but when they see you in such mode, they will want to know what is wrong with you. it will be good for everyone to understand that at a point in our life we will need that opportunity to be alone. it only becomes worrisome when it becomes a habit in what in my country we call antiso meaning you are not sociable.

    • why should you be angry with God when he has done everything to make us comfortable on earth. Never blame God for the suffering of man but blame those who brought about money as a form of having what God has giving to all of us for our use for free. it is like having a king as a father with everything created by him for his children yet we have to pay our brother before we can use it just because our brother had the first chance of holding unto that property.

How to be happy? By simply letting go!

It seems as such a simple solution and it actually is. Most of the problems in our life arise due to our tendency to hold on to things. We often try to control things or […]

    • You are damn right. This is a sure way to live your life and be happy. I have learnt to let go and move on. I am happy not because I have money, but because, in all I do, I see success. I have a family, career, good health, good friends and a good relationship with my husband and those around me. What more can a woman ask for? Life is good for me, I am so content and grateful. Nothing seems to bother me, as for money, if you put in your best, it will surely come.

    • The grudges within the heart are not ideal and cannot lead to happiness. It is our will to forgive someone and forgot the wrongdoings against us.If we do this, then life is not that difficult to handle. However, the process will take time because our heart needs to heal first.Happiness is the end result of not having grudges towards people.

    • Dina replied 3 weeks ago

I agree. If we only declutter every day, maybe at night before we go to sleep, we will have a clearer and tidier place at home. Besides, work is lesser than decluttering big time or after some many months.

In decluttering every day, you will find out that those you keep searching for are actually just there.

Though in reality, I get to declutter our bedroom on just a weekly basis since on weekends I don’t have to report to office.

Decluttering can also make our minds clearer because when the room is tidy, it also makes us think and see clearly.

    • I think it is better to keep the place organize. It is good to declutter things up.If we do this into practice, then we are living in a better place.I am sure the mothers will freak out if her children will not going to declutter their rooms.

    • i think its is better to say one step a day, one thing a day is good but in our life things really not easy and needs lots of things to do one thing really gals and guys, but one step is easier and will not be hard to do, and in this case you will fail your self, escpially for mother who do lots of work and needs break time, step a day is good

Indeed, if one has his own site, Facebook can be a great tool to advertise your site.
Facebook is the only social media I am active with. Before, I registered with twitter. But after a few days of trying it, i realized I don’t like it, so I went inactive.
A former officemate of mine who resigned uses Facebook to promote the things she sells at “ukay-Ukay” or second hand clothes, bags and shoes store. She would take a picture of them one by one and post it one FB. Even some officemates of mine buy from her when they like something she posted.
At least, FB is a free avenue for advertising things. 🙂

Very well said. Indeed, when we submit at least once a day a 500 minimum words post and the rest through interaction on blogs and groups’ discussion, we can do it to the minimum payout.

Although, posting a long post can really be draining. I can feel that actually. It is really an effort to do that post. Though, this is the speediest way of earning faster.

Tutorials are difficult though if you haven’t experienced it yourself. You have to have an experience on it before you can make a post about it. Though, maybe on can just get it through researches about the tutorial’s topic. HOwever, in doing that, one cannot avoid to copy some excerpts from the research.

Well, it’s always hard to earn money. That’s for sure.

People have been through this place since ancient times. And the historical value of the same has not eroded with the passage of time. One more interesting thing is the name of the place is the same and remains unchanged till date.

The Sikh guru visiting the place and the story of the chapatis at the hot springs also makes an useful read for the layman who would be interested in knowing more about our ancient land. The place being nearby to the abode of God Shiva also adds value to the place as the same was being graced by God Shiva.
