I don’t have any rituals at all. The only problem is not having enough time to write. Anything can be possible to be written that keeps popping out in my mind. I can anticipate that I will stay be into writing until aging stage.
wow! I wish I don’t have to do any rituals at all and still be at my best. I guess, most of the time, I’d rather condition my mind before I start doing anything because I’m not used to routines. Anything tedious will cause me to break down soon enough so I have to make sure to have these things even work fall into a routine so my mind won’t have to argue to itself saying “there’s always options”. I’ve learned the hard way and it’s difficult to stick to something. So, I’ve created this routine every day for my body to just do it without thinking too much, you know – thus the rituals. I hope I can do away with them someday.
I try to write as much as I can on someone’s comment and then switch to article. This way I can get the flow. We often feel we need to comment on something and we write a lot. That habit can be redirected like this.
I couldn’t agree more! It’s a great practice to just keep writing whatever it may be.
I don’t have any specific rituals but I find that having a coffee or a tea helps me focus and write. I have a hard time writing and I struggle with writer’s block. I have a lot of academic writing to do and that makes very tired of writing. Writing on sites like this one I find fun so it’s a little bit easier usually.
Coffee definitely helps me during the night. But I can’t consume that during the night. Because that affects my sleep pattern. So usually coffee during the morning. That gets me going.
nice! I hope I can guzzle down a good cup of coffee, too bad I can’t. Coffee is good to prep you up and to keep the mind active
My writing rituals, I mean ritual? Uhmmm.. I never forgot to drink a cup of coffee (specifically, BARAKO without sugar, just the plain one).
