Since I know that I am not getting enough nutrients from all the foods that I eat, I take vitamin supplements.
I may be eating fruits and vegetables but then I know I am not getting enough of them everyday. Even for the proteins, I maybe eating meats and legumes, but still I know I am not getting enough of those two.
SO I take vitamin supplements. But I take them individually, not in multivitamin form because that too doesn’t give us the daily recommended dose. I take those that are most needed, C, E, B1612, fish oild and calcium.

In my college days, I took steroids to gain weight because I was too skinny. I did gain weight, but just the right weight. However, my face became so rounded, actually called moon face.
At night, my brain would be so active, that I cannot sleep well. It’s as if my mind is always alert.
But taking the steroids had improved my appetite. I ate voraciously.
My father seeing my moon face was alarmed so he had me seen by a doctor and there I admitted I took steroids. I was made to withdraw from it gradually. And eventually the moon face was gone. Though, since then I already maintained my weight.

I get dry mouth during the night. When I wake up to pee, I notice that my mouth will be very dry. So, I always have a bottle of water near my side of the bed , so when i awaken and my mouth is dry I sip some. However, drinking water can make me urinate a lot at night.
But I think that is better than not urinating at all during the night.
As to my dry mouth, I think it is caused by my sleeping with a slightly ajar mouth, as my husband told me it is when I am asleep.

i take a BP tablet and that causes dryness. I need to hydrate myself often not something I like to do.

So I think the water flowing in our faucet is hard water. This is evident by the corrosion of some water pipes.
Also I have noticed our new airpot already colored a bit yellow when in fact, it was as it was claimed a stainless steel inside.
Knowing soft and hard water, can another water in between soft and hard water contents be made instead.
Though, since hard water contains calcium and magnesium then it is the healthier water since our bodies need calcium and magnesium.

Fruits and some vegetable here are expensive.
Though, you are right. Just buy those fruits in season, because they are cheaper. And but on those market buys where farmers would go to sell their freshly picked veggies.
It’s hard to eat healthy too, when there are kids, since kids usually hate veggies. Though, if we know how to make our veggies palatable, we can make them eat much.
One way is to make the eggplant omelet. Kids loves this specially if the dip it in catsup.
And yes, having some fruit salads or even just those in season fruits for dessert would really be a healthy option for other sugary or sweet desserts.

Even if the e-cigarette doesn’t have much nicotine, it is still damaging the lungs of the person always puffing it.
I guess once a person has quit actual smoking, through the use of e-cigarette, I think the next thing to do away with is the e-cigarette.
But at least the e-cigarette doesn’t have a smoke so awful like that of the actual cigarette.

I am actually a big cigarette smoker and have tried using e-cigarettes to try and stop but this didn’t help me. The first 3 or 4 days was good. I reduced alot in smoking regular cigarettes but then i would go out at night and an e-cigarette wouldn’t be enough.
I think the best way to start is to have a huge will power to want to smoke. If you don’t want to then there is no point. You will always want that cigarette in your hand.
I am not willing yet to stop smoking but i know this will do damage to my lungs and i will need to stop.
This generation is actually the one that has very young smokers. Where i live the youngest start smoking around 15 years old and maybe even younger. It is sad to see but i can complain as i started around the same age.
10 years has passed and i have tried quitting 3 times but never got the guts to go though with it.

Thank you so much for these useful post. I had alopecia areata before so I had injections and some creams placed on my bald patches. So far, they were fully covered after one and a half years.
But reading your post, I think I will try the onion, since after 30 minutes or more, I can shampoo it.
The coconut milk is easy to do too. I will also like to try the raw egg on my hair. I want to have a stronger hair so the falling hair will stop or lessen.
By the way, do you know how often should we do this?

Yes, I also have those in mind whenever I want to shed some fats off my body especially my tummy area. Actually, it’s the tummy area that is my problem.
When I gain weight my tummy will be the one that gets fatter and bigger.
One reason still for my wanting to shed some fats or poundage, is that whenever I gain some weight, my knees would be a bit painful whenever I climb or go down the stairs. And I know it’s my weight that is the main reason.
So, I diet whenever my knees would feel that way and when my tummy gets fatter too. ha ha ha

When proper care is not taken some of the patients suffering from type2 Diabetes may move away from the Hispanic group permanently leaving the impression that it is only the God and not the human medicine that can cure any disease. Thus the concept of Familismo will gain more ground in the group. It is for the Health providers who should up confidence among this group and educate them.
They should develop effective communication with the Hispanic group and build up confidence in them.They should be educated to adopt a healthy lifestyle. They should be made to understand the causes of this deadly disease

I take two gels of fish oil a day. I take it for its health benefits, but not to lose weight. I think it doesn’t help in losing weight unless, we also diet and do some vigorous exercise that can really make us sweat.

How about gaining weight? hehe .. I need to gain weight. I eat too much food but I won’t gain even a little weight.

Kefir , Sauerkraut, Tempeh these are the three in your list of your listed natural probiotics, that I don’t eat because I think we don’t have them here.
I am happy to know that I am eating most of this foods. I love eating all kinds of fruits except for kiwi. I love them much more than veggies, though I like some veggies like lettuce , eggplant, okra, squash, string beans and all beans.
Though I like meat also, but I see to it that I only eat them 3 times a week. Then, I eat fish the rest of the week. And when I eat these, I always accompany them with veggies.
I do some exercises only on weekends since it’s my only free time. I guess, I am already having a bit of healthy lifestyle because I also take vitamin supplements.
