Reasons to drop extra weights

Weight gaining or obesity is one of the major problems in our regular life today. It is not only very odd in the aspect of appearance but also obesity or being overweight can lead you to severe disease. Here are the reasons why you should maintain a healthy weight:

 

Cancer:

The serious reason for weight loss is to reduce the risk of endometrial cancer. Overweight are four times tend to have a chance of endometrial cancer. For the same reason, they might have a higher risk of breast cancer. Fat in the body increases the estrogen hormone associated with the both type of cancer. A study showed a hormone named leptin increases the risk factor of breast cancer in women. More the weight you gain, more the leptin would be produced. If we want to keep cancer at bay just start reducing extra weight.

 

Memory improvement:

Boosting your memory is another reason to weight loss. Researchers had seen that overweight people are less sharp than the thin people. Even overweight can lead you to dementia. A research showed people having fattest arms are more likely to have dementia. People having all time food cravings tend to put on extra weight, which makes your memory blunt. Start eating low fat and low carbohydrate foods while feeling hungry. Do some exercises like walking, cycling etc. Exercise can boost your memory up by a good blood circulation in brain cells.

Being overweight is very harmful to heart health. Overeating and no exercise cause cholesterol to increase. The cholesterol begins lining the arteries which damage the heart to work properly. Cholesterol is deadly for a heart. It has been shown an overweight person has more risk to get a heart attack than a normal weight person. A research shows that having around the belly are more prone to get a heart attack than a person having fat in thighs and hips area.

 

Diabetes:

Our gene or family history is a grand reason of diabetes. However, obesity is a great reason of type 2 diabetes. As obesity is increasing day by day, the risk of type 2 diabetes is also growing. Almost 90% of a patient having type 2 diabetes is affected by obesity. Obese people have a lower secretion of insulin than the non-obese people. We all know insulin hormone controls diabetes. The number of diabetes attacked people had been increased during the 1990s. But, type 2 diabetes is largely preventable by weight loss and proper low calories diet.

 

Arthritis:

Obesity plays a vital role in arthritis. Most of arthritis attacked people are overweight or obese. The more weight on a joint is the leading cause of arthritis. The joints can’t be able to raise the weight; as a result, joints get stressed and become damaged. When people get overweight their weight-bearing joints like the knees and hips get stressed. Each extra pound of over plus weight exerts almost 4 pounds of extra pressure on the knees.

 

There are many more negative impacts on our body of excessive weight gaining. Only losing some pounds can relieve you from numerous diseases. To tell you the truth weight loss is very effective to cure mood disorder, as oxygen fills our brain cells. Remember, our body is a machine and we need oiling it to make it run.

    • Yes, I also have those in mind whenever I want to shed some fats off my body especially my tummy area. Actually, it's the tummy area that is my problem.

      When I gain weight my tummy will be the one that gets fatter and bigger.

      One reason still for my wanting to shed some fats or poundage, is that whenever I gain some weight, my knees would be a bit painful whenever I climb or go down the stairs. And I know it's my weight that is the main reason.

      So, I diet whenever my knees would feel that way and when my tummy gets fatter too. ha ha ha

    • I totally agree with the listed diseases that may happen if not going to trim down. Having exercises and eating a well-balanced diet are the perfect combination to keep fit. Some people will go to whine about it. But I think they should not think twice. It is better to be fit as a fiddle than jeopardizing one's health.
