Writers do expect some payment though they enjoy it. What they really expect is only pennies and if that is denied they broke. Sometimes, we cannot find fault with the sites when they close their shops for the reasons beyond their control. But, most of the time they pay for what is written with great respect.

I do not know about Niume. But.…[Read more]

sivasubrahmanyam shatdarsanam wrote a new post, THE THREE IMPORTANT ITEMS FOR SUMMERS ONLY VILLAGERS KNOW BUT NOT YOU 7 years, 7 months ago

It is really great to taste some of the items meant exclusively for summer season after a gap of 26 years. Whenever I happened to visit my place I was missing them for want of time or in a hurry of spending time […]

    • Useful information on what food one can consume in the summer months which is very helps the body especially in the during the opperessive summer heat. I have tasted ragi dosa and ragi soup. But have to taste the above two items. I have heard about ragi balls which are consumed on a regular basis. Ragi is very good for our health all through the year and so are lentils. I have also had the fortune to ear jawar roti and corn roti too. They make the stomach feel light compared the the wheat roti.

They are famous in the semi arid region of the Telangana too. In the recent times I have only had ragi soup. I am having different variety of food which is especially light on the stomach and fruits too. Another two months are there then I can await for the rainy season. Till that time I will spend time tasting food which he light on the stomach as I do not feel hunger due to the extreme weather. It will cross forty degrees now. Thanks for the share.

    • I only knew about roti paratha, is it from India too? But the common one I like is biryani rice with sea foods. The rice water is comparable to rice wine in the Northern Philippines, but I have not tasted it. It does not appeal so much to me because of the appearance.

    • With the passage of time, we have got away from many traditional foods, which were based on the weather, and kept our bodies stronger and nourished.
Now, we fail to get enough nutrients. Use of Processed flour(Maida) worsens our situation.
Such traditional foods are making their way back into our day to day eating habits, but a lot still needs to happen.
      Thanks for sharing this post.

    • True summer has its own food and it should be something soft and rich in water and vitamin d among other things, to consider. Thanks for the share and the information and making our summer more healthy and interesting, though some may not stick to this diet but I guess writers should since they know

Do you know what is common with the above restaurants?

It’s fried chicken ! Their fried chicken is very delicious . But of course , there will be one who will reign supreme.

    • sorry but i hate kfc theya re full of oil, sometimes the chicken is notwellcooked and smell like old and the service is horrible, for the price the price is too much to the food hat you eat with that low quality, I will never go kfc again, and when i complain they do not care, omg how bad they are

    • @trees

Oh is that so? Well here, maybe because there are a lot of competition, restaurants would really make their fried chickens delicious.

KFC fried chicken here is delicious. Although, since I have my favorite which is a local one from here, I rated it a little lower.

So what restaurant in your country, offers the most delicious fired chicken?

    • “nakakagutom naman!”

I can’t help but shout this in our language.

When Bon Chon opened, we tried it and I liked it because of its sweetness and I’m a sweettooth. But, if eaten often, its sweetness is a bit overwhelming.

I like KFC, not so much for their fried chicken, but for their mushroom soup hehe.

If I have enough money and I am with my family, we surely will go to Max’s.

But if I have limited money, I’d always take the Crispy Chicken Sandwich of McDo. i also love its apple pie.

Din, what’s DIY? Sorry haven’t been to this place yet.

Jollibee, a ‘playsafe’ kind of place. If you don’t know what to eat, go to this place.

      How about Army Navy?

      • @Ruby ,

Ate Rubs, yes I am sure those that have read this, will surely say that “nakakagutom”, (made me hungry?) I don’t know how to put it right in English though. lol

Really, you like Bon Chon’s fried chicken. I have this taste for chicken which should be a bit salty but not sweet, though if it is of sweet and sour taste, I would surely love it. You have a sweet tooth indeed, since you like it.

DIY Burgers , which literally means Do It Yourself Burgers , is a restaurant that serves very big burger and you can customize what to put in your burger by choosing what are those stuffs you want. For every filling , there is a corresponding amount. he he he

And just like you, if it is a family outing and have a big budget , we will certainly go to Max’s .

But if not McDo or Jollibee would be affordable yet so filling already. 🙂

    • I haven’t tried Bon Chon though it was opened months ago in mall here. I don’t like sweet chicken. Of those you mentioned, I (we) like Max’s best, though the other ones are cheaper. My next choice is Jollibee chicken. Thanks for the review, and yes, these companies should pay you for endorsing their chicken!

    • I like it so much.

      • @Mohammad Rafiq Akhtar ,

Which one of those do you like much? I have enumerated and described 6 different stores that serves it.

Do you like the breaded fried chicken or the as it is fried chicken?

In your place, what are those stores who serves delicious fried chickens?

So which one do you like going to, to eat fried chicken. How much do they cost? Do they come with rice and a coke too?

    • Is fried chicken one of your favorites too? For me, it is. It cannot be helped that when I go to the mall I would always choose fried chicken with rice budget meal.

That price of $5 is expensive compared to the fastfood outlet’s budget meals for 2 piece chicken, with rice , gravy and a drink.

Though for the fine dining restaurants, the are the same for their budget meal of chicken with side dish, a dessert and softdrinks.

    • Like they say you never know what you are loosing until you loose it. It is very sad to think that her friemds could actually treat a fellow friend the way they did. If they would only be a bit considerate.
But that is usually a problem when you live like 2 3 in a house or apartment that is bound to happen. There are those who will feel like they arw superior to everyone else. So they may take it that everybody else should do chores but they shouldn’t, that attitude is very annoying. I would expect everyone to take responsibility in the house and also help out whenever need arises. It was unfortunate that keery was no more. The thing is now they are the ones who will have to live with the guilt of doing her wrong. Kerry did her part and she doesn’t have to live with any guilt.

    • The reasons why all those gone are well explained, yes I agree many we like to see back in movie , but seen no more , attitude matters a lot, even in school students may have special request as to who would teach them because they do not like the teacher assigned to them, There was also a movie actress in Ph she was so famous in her youthful years but when she grew mature her attitude changed and many complained and wanted to remove as member of the casts of the movie. Those having attitude problem may also have their own problems ,lol./
