Making Money from Mobile App is Not Easy

Last year I released one app on Appstore. I didn’t monetized it with any specific options. But just added thee content. I wanted to add the ads and then promote it. So far I got few likes and then downloads also happened. But things were complicated on the promotion side. The app is not easy to promote. Also the amount of people trying to use the app are reduced these days. And this makes me want to promote it through other channels. I want to see how thee mobile app promotion is likely to go ahead. You can see that as app is just about to be released, many people promote it through various means. But it’s kind of hard to promote if you don’t have demographics specific app. In this article I want to specify which is a good method of promotion for the app these days.

Downloads

When it comes to Android, you need more people download your content. You have to make sure you are letting the customers download the app and use it. If you have ads on it then they can use it on everyday basis. The moree download you have the better chances of viewing the ads. You need to make users have ads viewed. If not then they are going to leave your app. And they are going to not worth your download count. The more downloads the better bbut ads too need to be viewed. So it all comes down to how you are managing the downloads and take the efforts these days.

Active Installs

Just downloading the app is not enough. You have to actively find the users who keep the app installed. You can find that google keeps the active install as well. Most of the active installed apps make the most money. You can find that active install apps also require the user to be working on the app. And this means not all thee type of random apps are going to sell well. You have to take effort to increase the amount of app installs. And not all the apps would be getting installed. You need some of the concept that works for both ads and the installs. It may then becomes easier that way.

Promotion

I think another part which I want to write a lot. I think many people can’t find a way to promote their app. You can see that promoting app requires a place and the people to attract at that. I have found that promoting is not an easy. Twitter and facebook, and the ads on those sites work. I have seen people using the google adwords. But the landing page and the app install is not going to be an easy task. Promotion through the social media can be good but takes a lot of time. If you have made an app and working on it’s promotion. Start with the people you don’t know and then make them go viral. Find that way for promoting the app.

That’s what I have learned so far from my efforts with the app. Hope to do lot more in upcoming days.
