How I Made a Dollar in LiteracyBase

Well, I would be honest to tell you. I found tedious to reach my first dollar earning on this site. I tried to double time if how I could make it. I tried everything from joining the forum, from giving comments, from writing a blog post. and It was not easy. But at least I get it for four days.

In my other site like myLot, it takes 30 days to work on for a dollar. In the suspended site like BlogJob, I have no idea yet for I have earned 2,422 points for 21 days, I have no time to compute as to how many points for a dollar. Anyway, since its reward program was temporarily suspended, my interest is also held in abeyance.

As of this writing, I have no idea yet on how to decipher the special algorithm which LiteracyBase is using. I am still in the process of experimenting it. I am applying the trial-and-error method or hit-and-miss approach. The first $0.0010 I earned was from the forum which I gave my comment to a certain topic, I forgot the title. As i left a comment, I examined the way the participant/member giving their comment. I noticed that in a simple topic, some commented a very long statement. Others were just a sentence. I tried a short-sentence reaction. Nothing has changed in my balance notice at the top upper-right hand corner of the site. I did it several times. The same was the result.

I was too curious to know how the coins are earned. I checked the rewards button along the above task bar. It had insufficient or incomplete information. I thought since I earned in forum commenting I could also have it in blog commenting. I tried it. Oh, it did. I got $0.01 coin for a single comment. I did again to another blog post, I received nothing. I tried again to another blog post, the same nothing was credited to my balance. “What is this?” I asked myself, “Is there somebody around to clarify this matter?” I said to myself forget it.

I came back for the second day. I went to the forum and checked the latest topics. For 30 minutes, I had gained considerable coins for my balance. My curiosity didn’t rest. I clicked the blog button. Two options appeared: post now and dashboard. I clicked “post now”  I composed my first blog. It was about the Philippine Politics which had rocked the world for the overwhelming million votes the president-elect received, more than 37% votes from 54 million registered voters.

My excitement was uncontrollable. After I made a concluding statement of the said blog, I right away pressed the submit button. There it went. A notice prompt popped up which signified that my blog post has needed to be approved before it would go online. I continued exploring the site until I read the Rewards on a new blog post that a minimum of 300 words is required for a post. I was in a hurry to edit my first blog post submitted but to no avail. I couldn’t edit it anymore. I was worried that it was probably less that 300 words. Well, anyway in the following day, I wrote another two post with more than 300 words. Therefore, I was confident that those added two posts would meet the requirement.

On the next as I opened my email, I received an email from @support informing me that my first blog post didn’t meet the needed number of words. It had only contained 262 and the two posts had 385 and 336, respectively. But since it was my first blog post, it was reconsidered and a considerable credit was given. I was so thankful for it.

Then I wrote another three posts with more than 300 words and submitted them. One was awaiting approval and the other two were tagged as “offline”. I submitted another two posts and they were “alive”, means they were published online. Out of those approved posts, I received $0.05 coins credit added to my outstanding balance.

That was how challenging and a piece of hardwork to do earn a dollar. It is no joke in doing it.

    • It's clear you've worked hard to earn here on LiteracyBase. I'm glad to know that you're starting to get the hang of things, and that you can see your balance steadily climbing. Best of luck with your continued participation here!

      • This is what I like in LB. You are too supportive. You have always the time to inspire us, to urge us to do more. We are more than friends here. We are like a family. We cannot afford to let anyone be at a loss, but to help them, to assist them on the things they are least aware. I would be writing more for that matter. Thank you for the support.

We are here, of course, for a penny, but we are also here to lean a hand to those who are inexperienced and make them keep on moving to stand with their own feet independently. Thank you, @Ruby3881.

    • yes, I agree the last line, it is no joke to get around here, LB.

If there is a easy way out, maybe a Learning Centre like Hubpages, it would be easier for newbies to handle LB without any worries.

Me too, I had trouble with earning the cents in the beginning.
But after I had reached $1, I had started to understand better with the concept of the earning, the more and lengthy your comment, you will earn more.

Same goes the blog post, more than 500, super fast earning, you reach your goal faster.

Anyway, I find your post tells us that you are alike us too,

      • It comes naturally when you are used to a lengthy post or articles. The flow of your thoughts just come on flowing just a rushing water from the falls. However, as the newbie like me, I have to familiarize myself what is in and what is not here. Or else I would be sorry later when I violate the rules without knowing them. Recently, I was blocked from another online writing site without informing me as to why. I was very sorry then.

Anyway, when we are too serious in everyday routine we have had, there is not the problem for we do strive to attain our goal. By the way, I am glad that you are here to extend a helping hand to me when I am nothing, making for a lack of knowledge about LB. Thank, @peachpurple. :)

    • Seem like you are getting better.
This blog post is definitely longer than 300 words, and I think by now, you are very near to $10.
I wonder if you have promoted the content elsewhere to get visitors?

    • That seems like a ton of effort for a dollar. How much time did you spend in the process of earning that dollar? How does it compare with the expected minimum income (in dollars per hour) in your area?

    • I am not saying that it is difficult to earn here. But then, it is far better and worth to spend time in LB. I had stopped being in mylot for quite sometime. Since it is too difficult to earn a dollar. However, it is the longest writing site that I've known.
