Summer has finally arrived.I don’t like this season.
Summer is hottest, longest & in some respects, most tiring season in India. It begins generally middle of March & lasts almost until the end of June.
During earlier part of this season, weather is dry, mild, & agreeable. However, every day it gets warmer and warmer until in May and June heat becomes intolerable.
The sun’s rays are so strong that it is almost impossible to stir out during the middle of day.while sometimes hot wind blows all day long, scorching faces of men & choking them with dust.
Fruits of various lands ripen in long summer days. Summer is also time for holidays, colleges, schools, and most educational institutions remain closed for two months during summer.
In summer, few hours of the morning are pleasant. In March sun does not become too hot before noon. But by April sun becomes hot by 10 a.m.
sun becomes very hot by noon in May and June and scorching winds also begin to blow. People can not come out of their homes & all work remains suspended till evening. They can not work even inside their houses because of heat. Moreover, they dont feel energetic & a sort of dullness comes over them. They feel sleepy in afternoon. They shut all doors & take rest in coolest part of the building.
People in town have got many amenities which are not available to villagers. Therefore, townsmen can reduce discomforts of summer to great extent, if they can afford to spend money. In towns, people get electric fans, air conditioners, to cool them & ice to quench their thirst.
In spite of these disadvantages the farmers welcome summer, because it brings clouds which give them rain. Though we dislike heat and dust of summer, we await it anxiously because we get sweet mangoes during this season.

hi samia, i dont like summer either, it makes me dizzy and feel like i want to sleep all the day, it make like to stay home, but i love winter, i feel happy in winnter and it make me want to stay out even under the rain or snow, i love to see the view even from home, and love to let our kids play for sometime not under the rain of course, but i know many people love summer and hates winter and when there is winter they even fly outside teh country to run away from it, wow
