Google Chrome for mobile: Some useful features

I don’t need to say more about Google Chrome to anybody. As far as I surveyed from the internet right now Chrome is the most used browser among the users. In mobile phones also Chrome is getting more and more popularity because of its features and easy access. I am talking about Chrome application in the android phone. I am not using IOS device right now so can’t say if the same features are available for it. But in android version, Chrome is offering some really good features which can be really useful at time. At least for me they are quite useful for sure. So I want to share them here.

Some useful features of Google Chrome android Application

Synchronize your account with desktop:

In Chrome application by attaching your Google account to the application you can directly synchronize your desktop Chrome data with it. Means your bookmarks will be saved on internet and you can have same bookmarks on your mobile phone and your desktop computer, and you can save new one from any device and it will show up on another. You will also able to see history and other pages of your desktop on your mobile phone. So in short you will able to synchronize your mobile Chrome with your desktop computer’s Chrome.

Request Desktop Site:

In mobile browser when we open any site, it will open that site in mobile view. Means you will see mini version of actual site which is made for mobile phones. But sometimes we don’t found it comfortable to access and we wish if we can open site same as our desktop computer. With Google chrome you can open sites like desktop mode. For that, you just need to open any site on your mobile Chrome, then click on menu button from chrome and click on Request Desktop Site button. By this way you will able to open Desktop mode site in your mobile Chrome browser.

Incognito Mode:

Some time for privacy purpose you don’t want to save your browser history. For that you have to clear browser history again and again after surfing. Because of that sometimes you may also clear all other history as well that you don’t want to clear. This is irritating stuff sometimes. But you know with incognito mode on Chrome you can avoid saving history on your browser.  Means just open incognito mode on Chrome browser and surf whatever you want, by this way it will not save any of browsing history in application. So this will save your lots of time.

Data Saver Mode:

You know there is data saver mode on Google chrome browser. This feature is best if you are having limited data plan on your mobile as it will save lots of data during surfing. Google have this feature which will compress the sites you requested on their server before sending them to you. So by this way you will get compressed pages, so that it will take less time to load and also your data usage will be down.

These are few good features which I am using regular in Google Chrome. I know many people knew it already about them, but if someone doesn’t then they should try out them. I am sure you will love it.

    • Google Chrome is my browser too. I use it for my desktop functions and I have had no issues so far. They also have a help option to sort out problems if any.
Although I do not own android the idea of synchronising the desk top with the mobile app is a good idea.

      • Yes if someone is having android then synchronizing it with desktop is the best idea.

    • That's a nice to share. I am using Google chrome in many ways. There are so many features for the user to feel grateful.
