Border- Gavaskar Trophy 2nd Test Match ( 4th Innings)

Australia only needs to get 190 runs in their 2^nd Innings to win this 2^nd Test match and take lead of 2-0 lead in the series.

Australia started with David W and Matt R and India with Spin and fast combination of I Sharma and R Ashwin. Surprisingly India started well and took Aussies 1^st wicket on the score of 22 runs in the form of Matt R on the bowling of I Sharma. After that Aussie Skipper batted well and played some very good shorts but other Aussie batsman were troubled by the Indian bowlers and mostly by R Ashwin.

Australia kept losing wickets at regular intervals in the 2^nd Innings and was only able to make 112 runs in 35.4 and lost all their 10 wickets and game as well by 75 runs. India team was well delighted with their performance and why not they have bowled very well and this win has put India back in this series. For Australia Skipper S Smith Top scored with 28 runs in 48 balls with 3 fours and Peter H made 24 runs in 67 balls with 2 fours.

For India R Ashwin was the pick of the bowler and other bowlers chipped in as well, R Ashwin took 6 wickets by giving away only 41 runs in 12.4 over’s and U Yadav took 2 crucial wickets as well by conceding 30 runs in 9 over’s and other 2 wickets were shared between I Sharma and R Jadeja.

The Bottom line of the Test match was, India won the match by 75 runs and K L Rahul was the Man of the Match for his great batting in both Innings of the Match.

Writers Analysis:  India won the match by applying themselves properly in the 2^nd and most crucial innings of the match. This win will help in boosting India’s morale for the rest of the series and now the other 2 remaining games will be worth watching as both teams will try to take lead in the 3^rd Test match.
