Border- Gavaskar Trophy 3rd Test Match ( 3rd Innings)

Australia posted total 451runs in its 1^st Innings and this means India needs to bat very well so that they don’t concede any lead to Australia in this 3^rd test Match.

India started with pair of K L Rahul and M Vijay and Australia with pace bowlers Pat C and Josh H.

India started very well and was off to a very nice start and did not lose any wicket till score of 90 runs. India lost its 1^st wicket in the form of K L Rahul on team score of 91 runs in 31.2 over’s on the bowling of Pat C. After that India batted well but lost some wickets in hurry to put themselves in difficult situation at score of 328 runs and at the loss of 6 wickets and it was looking like that India will concede a Big lead to Australia but Indian wicket keeper Batsman W Saha and C Pujara batted defensively and so very well to negate any lead to Australia and was able to put total of 603 runs in 210 over’s at the loss of 9 wickets, so India declared their Innings at score of 603 and are now with lead of 152 runs which will surely prove handy. For India C Pujara Top scored with 202 runs in 525 balls with 21 fours and W Saha made 117 runs in 233 balls with 8 fours and 1 six and other contributors were M Vijay who made 82 runs in 183 balls with 10 fours and 1 six, K L Rahul with 67 runs in 102 balls with 9 fours and in the lower Middle order R jadeja made unbeaten 54 runs in 55 balls with 5 fours and 2 six at the strike rate of 98 runs in 100 balls faced.

For Australia Pat C was the pick of bowlers with 4 wickets by conceding 106 runs in his 39 over’s and S O Kefee who took 3 wickets by giving away 199 runs in 77 over’s. Other two wickets were taken by Josh H and Nathan L.

Writers Analysis:  India was down and in trouble but it’s the batting and adaptability of C Pujara and W Saha that put India back in the game and are now in winning condition as well. On the other hand Australia will surely be very disappointed that they let go the chance of bowling out India cheaply as at one Time it was looking like that India will concede a very big lead to Australia but India kept their nerves and were able to post a very Nice total of 603 runs and now have a big lead as well, Australia are in trial by 152 runs and now it’s their turn to feel the pressure as Pitch has started to deteriorate and will assist the spinners more and with 4 sessions left in the game, only 2 results are possible now. Either it will be a Draw test match or will be won by India, so India is no danger to lose this match and can put more and more pressure on Aussie batsmen to bowl them out and took lead of 2-0.
