Kokrebellur is a small village in Karnataka. This village seems to be light years ahead of their urban peers when it comes to conservation of nature. While most villagers consider birds a nuisance, the villagers of Kokrebellur consider these birds to be their companions. They have even created a special clinic for diseased or wounded birds.

to eat Indian food in general is Rajasthan, so a thali from Hotel Haveli is something you have to try. I got this one for 200 rupees and couldnтАЩt finish it all. The thali has all items tweaked to the traditional Rajasthani way, including some veggies/chiles growing in the Thar desert and nowhere else.

A small village, named Chhapar, in Rajasthan, celebrates when a girl child is born and sweets are distributed. Also the women in the village do not wear the “gunghat” any more. What an improvement! Really, as an Indian I feel prod of it.
