@peachpurple Hubpages sounds pretty good I am thinking of giving it a try. Yeah, I know about Blogjob I was on there until the rewards program was suspended. I wished it would come back. I really liked it.
@Ruby3881 Yes I am thinking about signing up for Textbrokers US, I checked out the site it seems like a pretty good deal.
@Manasi I have been…[Read more]

@Morgoodie Even though mine was going out of the class everyday the teachers still sent home quite a bit of homework. Instead of doing like I told them to and write it in her agenda what she was to do at home they left it up to her to do which she won’t do because she struggles with the work. When she would go to school the next day and not have…[Read more]

TextBroker UK is working out well. Not many articles on the weekend, but lots during the week! I’ve only taken five assignments because three were medical topics that needed research. But for just those ones I’ve earned almost 40 euros.
They pay every Friday for anyone who has more than 10 euros and requests payment by Thursday. So I’ll probably…[Read more]

That is awful. Simply terrible. It is not good to let the other children know about what one child has or what condition they have or whatever. They will gang up on that person, tease them mercilessly and alienate them to the point of wanting to quit school or become withdrawn and anti-social.
Bullying is on the rise. I used to be bullied just…[Read more]

@Melissa I only let homework go when it is just getting too much of a struggle. Since she has been going out of the classroom every day, she has not had any homework other than doing the sentences for spelling words. This has made it so much easier to deal with her after school and we can do things together instead of fight. She has grown a lot…[Read more]

@morgoodie Have you ever done an ABC tracking sheet for her? (That’s “antecedent, behaviour, consequence.”) It might help you to get a better idea what triggers her outbursts, and maybe even some warning signs you & she could use to help prevent them.
@Moregoodie No, the others would be out of district, so I have to send her to this school there are 2 or 3 more near us but they said they are out of our district. Mine goes to public school and it really isn’t no better than what you are telling me about private school, of course with you being in a different state it might. The homework thing…[Read more]
@Melissa I am looking forward to next school year since they will be in a different school. You would think that going to a private school would mean they were getting a better education but when the teacher tells you that they would be better off in a public schools where they adhered better to the education laws. I mean what is my money going…[Read more]
@morgoodie School got out here on Thursday and I was so happy. My daughter had to do the same thing with the spelling words. At the beginning of the year they made them all do a science project, in which they had to take pictures of, tell what they thought would happen before they done it, etc. something we would have assembled in the higher…[Read more]
@ruby3881 She has been getting better and they are fewer than they were, but they are explosive when they happen. I try to be patient and will usually make her go to her room or somewhere where she can calm down and desensitize from everyone. Sometimes, she gets too overwhelmed when there is a lot of activity or people around her. Usually it…[Read more]
@morgoodie Once you get past the meltdowns, everything changes. Hang in there!
@Morgoodie They have agendas . The school furnishes every year for them to write spelling words, homework, special events, etc. in. Problem is mine won’t write her homework down it and when prompted about homework she will tell you she has none. She does this because the work is frustrating to her. I told her teacher if she has homework you write…[Read more]

This is indeed not an ordinary problem. It involves both mental and physical. You cannot blame your child for having behaved that way. It is better for the teacher to tell her classmates without her presence to understand the attitude of their classmate, your daughter for she too does not know why she acts that way.Proper guidance and monitoring…[Read more]
@ruby3881 A roller coaster is a good thing to compare it to. I remember when she first started school and she had such a hard time adjusting and it took half of the year for her to go in the room and do the tasks that they were supposed to do each morning. She would just stand at the door and stay there. Sometimes as I was leaving her there, I w…[Read more]
@morgoodie Being a special needs parent is real roller coaster ride, isn’t it? Sometimes we are so proud of our kids, and what they accomplish seems so huge when put into the right perspective. But for each moment of happiness or pride, there are many moments of struggle!
You should absolutely get your son’s IQ and achievement levels tested so he…[Read more]
I will tell you this experience with my children is making me more outspoken about these things. I hate confrontation of any kind, but my children are not going to suffer. My daughter’s teacher had training in special education and yet she cannot address the issues. I told her that I would get my daughter a planner so that she can write down all…[Read more]
@Ruby3881 Thanks for the advice. I will try these suggestions next year. Today was the last day for this year. For hopefully your suggestions will work and next year will be a better year.
