On Google Plus they have posts that are grouped as “What’s Hot and Recommended”. They say if you want to keep up on G+ you should check on what’s in the stream. Don’t know how the posts got selected but one time Tina Turner was in there!
This lady doesn’t even do concerts or make records any more!! Her last concert was in Austin, Texas. (I…[Read more]

Treathyl FOX replied to the topic Do you like movies that have a touching story? in the forum Entertainment 7 years, 6 months ago
Not sure how you define “touching” but if it means the movie really tugs at your heart strings, it’s a tear jerker and you cry your eyes out, and/or it moves you in such a way that you “feel” what the characters feel? Then yes! I love movies with a touching story.
In fact, that’s the reason my husband and I started watching foreign films.…[Read more]

Your comment reminded me that I had published a quick post about salsa music. Here’s the link if you’re interested.

I think we can buy those in our grocery store in the International Foods aisle. I’m sure I’ve seen chutney on the shelf and I love szechwan food. Looked up the recipes. Others might interested.

I like Star Trek better. Period! I’m such a loyal fan I didn’t even give Star Wars a chance. MY mind was made up right from the start. That’s why I was surprised the question was even asked. (O.o) 🙂 😀

No. The double “Wars” in the title is not a typo. There are wars going on between loyal fans of Star Trek and devotees of Star Wars. There are divided camps of loyalty and it’s a clear divide too! In fact, I wasn’t sure if I should post this but then I saw that kaylar had written a few posts about Star Trek, I figured it was safe.
I’m very ple…

Wrote a post at an online community that no longer provides a monetary incentive to write there. No longer active and have been going through some of my old food-related posts and republishing them at my foodie blog. One of the members there is also a member at Literacy Base. A question was asked in one of the comments at the old site. That…[Read more]

My husband and I fell in love with the music video. I just had to watch the movie. So worth it! This movie will make you look forward to falling in love.
I – Ennodu Nee Irundhaal Video | A.R. Rahman | Vikram | Shankar
I love Annie Lennox. But this particular song is not hers. The original was done by another group. But I love her version.
Annie Lennox – A Whiter Shade of Pale (Remastered)
I came home from work one day and my husband was playing music and this guy was singing. I had to find more songs where he was singing. Found this one. The man’s name is Thomas Otten. Perhaps his voice is what angels sound like.
It’s impossible for this song not to be on everybody’s favorites list. This movie had the best soundtrack of the millenium!! Gladiator (2000)
Gladiator Theme • Now We Are Free • Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard
This song was included in the soundtrack for the movie about American boxing legend, Muhammad Ali, which starred Will Smith. The gentleman who sings this song is a gifted albino with the most incredible voice! See my post here at LB: Children of the Moon. Tomorrow – Salif Keita
If you enjoy the soothing sounds of African rhythms you’ll love listening to the music of this African legend, Olive Mtukudzi – Ngoromera
It’s late. It’s Friday night and my husband has fallen asleep. But I’m not sleepy and have some time to kill. So I’ll share some of my favorite music videos like this one. It’s called: T.N.T. For The Brain.

In school, history was not one of my favorite subjects. Thought it was boring. Probably because we had to memorize a lot of dates and the events were not explained in such a way that you understood what ordinary […]
