Goodness is a candle to light tin the darkness of evil kingdom where all are living in the darkest pit of hell. The example of God, teaches the lesson truly: He sends rain, and makes the sun to shine, upon the just and unjust; but he does not rain wealth, nor shine honor and virtues, upon men equally. Common benefits, are to be communicate with all; but peculiar benefits, with choice. Neither is there only a habit of goodness, directed by right reason; but there is in some men, even in nature, a disposition towards it; as on the other side, there is a natural malignity. Goodness is the part of holy men;s nature but evilness is the part of jealous persons who chase wealth making evilness to others and on such people God’s wrath falls in day light.
