Sorry to say but it is true that there are many countries that contribute the most to Dog Meat Trade. China, Taiwan, South Korea Vietnam are mentionable regarding this matter.

• Every year, almost 10 to 20 million dogs are killed in China.
• More than 80000 dogs are smuggled every year for meat in Vietnam.
• Near about 2.5 million dogs are killed in South Korea every year.
• This practice remains an underground practice in Taiwan(it is banned here), which supplies  to restaurants and meat traders.

I really hate this news. I don’t know why people are loving to eat dog meat. Most of us are having dogs as a pet animal in our houses and who can eat the same without having any mercy on them? The respected government should take care of this events and have to implement some strict laws to avoid these activities.  As far as I know most of the countries have some animal protection department and some private organization which protects animals. In presence of all these departments and caretakers how these illegal activities are happening in the countries you mentioned? Not only the government, every individual should take in charge to save the animals from the killers and sellers. The government should provide some emergency numbers to protect dogs in those countries, by that people can easily inform the police about the activities and I am sure this will reduce the number of dogs killed by the meat lovers.
