While perusing the blog posts under “Uncategorized”, came across a post that could have specifically been placed under a generic topic like “Holidays and Celebrations“.  But as of today (7/28/2016) there is no such category.

Where there are no categories we are expected to place them under the ‘uncategorised’ category.

Yes I know that. But people don’t tend to search the Uncategorized because they have an interest in a specific topic. Holidays is one of those topics that people really like. Besides, it doesn’t that much effort for Admin or Support to add a category. This is a WordPress platform. It’s very easy to add or remove categories.  Also, categories improve SEO and might increase traffic to the site because it makes posts easier to find via organic or generic searches.  In other words, people may not do a Google search for Literacy Base (example of specific search term if you know what you’re looking for) because they have never heard of the site.  But they might search for Holidays (example of a general or organic or generic search term) because most people celebrate various holidays and in doing so, find blog posts published at Literacy Base.  Anyway … it was just a suggestion.  🙂

I don’t put my articles under uncategorie.

If it is related to holidays and festivals or celebration, I would suggest you should try “family” instead.

Or you can put under “Society and culture” or “entertainment”

All these are related to holidays, festivals and celebration.

Yeah, admin should add this into the category

You don’t have to put your posts in Uncategorized. If you don’t choose a specific category when you submit your post for approval, it automatically defaults to Uncategorized and shows up there. It has to end up somewhere or else it might not appear in the post archives at all which would mean that nobody would ever even see your post to read it.

Yes.  But even if you don’t purposely select Uncategorized, that’s the category where your post will default to anyway if you don’t pick a category.
