With the recent events/attack in Orlando, FL/The United States, I have seen a lot of foolish remarks made towards muslims. Does this attack along with others even change your view of Muslims as a whole? To me every group/religion has it extream people that make everyone in their group as a whole look bad.

This was one extremist. There are so many other peace-loving Muslims I’ve known in person or met online. My opinions and feelings towards these folks are not changed in the least. It’s extremism that harms, not Islam.
There are good and bad in every religion or ethnicity. This one person is bad, though!!
I think it is the people that take their religion to the extreme that are harmful, not the whole religious order. Many people in all religions have gone off the deep end and have used their religion as excuses for their behavior. I do not think religion is intended to be this way and that it does not make all people of that religious belief bad just because someone or a small group of fanatics do something extreme against others. Blame the people not the religion is my opinion.
I can feel your sentiments my friend. I have some friends who are Muslim. According to them, those Muslims who had been in this kind of crimes are contradicting to their beliefs. I hope things will change and no death to happen.
you are right. It is unfair that people are prejudice towards the muslims just because of a killer who had done a crime. What he did doesn’t symbolize that all muslims are alike. They are good and bad sheep in the whole pack. It would be unfair to judge the rest of the people of the same religion as criminals. We are educated people, we know what is right and wrong. Don’t let the media to mislead us into the pit hole. My neighbor is a muslim family, they are kind and cat lovers. Furthermore, only that particular person is the killer. He is the bad hat.
@oksummer India is a country with a large muslim population. Terrorist attacks in India are also a reason for the growing intolerance against India. But the fact is that terrorists have no religion. No religion preaches hatred and killing of the innocent people.
Good points everyone! I am happy to hear and see that there are still people who can make the difference and know not to group everyone into one group because of an event. I hope one day all the violence will end and we will learn to accept everyone.
I have many friends that are Muslims and I feel safer around them than I would around anyone else. The thing with most Americans is that they are quick to judge without even knowing any information about a true Muslim. People are always taking things out of context, this includes verses in the Quran. I have always believed if you want to know how a person really gets to know someone from that religion. Ask questions. Visit a mosque. You will be surprised that they aren’t much different than anyone else.
They are Muslim who attack on the innocent peoples all over the world. Actually they are non Muslim but take the shape of Muslims and scandalize the Muslims all over the world. Muslims are loving and peaceful by nature reveals the the history of the Muslims. Bad persons are more in every religion but we may not say the whole peoples are corrupt and terrorists. I think all human beings are loving and peaceful but injustice is the main cause of terrorist activities in all religions and countries. Ned and greed these are the two elements that compel any person to do wrong things.
Everyone belongs to some kind of religion. Muslims have had to deal with the bitter allegations that they are terrorists but truth be told there are non Muslims who are also terrorists. If one Muslim has been found guilty it doesn’t mean that the whole religion is bad. There are some very good people out there who condemn such behavior so we cannot take the whole Muslim community as a whole and say that they are bad. |
