You must have noticed that the craze for blogging at a rapid rate especially as the paying sites are going down or pay too little for our hard work. Most of you might be having your own blogs on different blogging platforms like I have although I am not updating them frequently. However, the time has come that you should look at adsense, Chitika and other advertising programs more seriously.
First of all- what blogging platform do you prefer to work on? Actually when we hear about blogging the first platform that comes to our mind is Google’s Blogger but as most of us know that Blogger is not the only Blogging platform but you can use many other platforms like WordPress, Medium, Tumblr etc. But do you really know what you can do on these blogging sites? Let’s have a look at them and see their advantages as well disadvantage.
WordPress is perhaps the best site for blogging but the problem is that you cannot display your advertisements or run an affiliate program on its free version but if you are seriously thinking to make mony out of your blogging you should not mind paying the small fee to its paid version. Once you have created your blog and chosen your template you can easily register your domain name.
The WordPress has hundreds of different template according to your theme so choosing an appropriate template should not be a problem. You have the option of choosing your language also as this platform gives you freedom to write in choice of your own language. Rest is easy as you can read everything in very friendly WordPress tutorials.
Google’ Blogger is perhaps the best in the sense that you can run your own advertisements from Google’s own Adsense programs as well other advertising companies free of cost and everything is as easy as creating a mail account. All you need to have a Gmail account as Blogger is part of Google’s account available with same password.
Blogger also gives you different facilities that provide you different facilities like followers, Share buttons, Subscribers, Keywords, insertion of Images besides providing you search engine tools for increasing views. In fact, if you go to your dashboard you will see every facility available in “Layout” where adding your desired features is like 1-2-3. You can add page views widget t your blog that helps you attract more visitors.
There are other blogging platforms those provide you a social blogging platform more like Facebook where your blogging reaches to your followers’ timeline. Medium has the unique facility to send all your related posts on your followers’ timeline like you see hash tagged posts (#) on your twitter account under one category. You can even bookmark your selected posts which you can check on a later stage.
Tumblr is my favorite
Tumblr is perhaps the easiest for publication through RSS feed. Finding blogs on Tumblr is very easy and the best feature of this site is that you can add your other account services like YouTube, Flickr and Podcast that gives you an option of sharing simultaneously once you upload on YouTube or Flickr that provides you te opportunity of bringing maximum visitors to your posts. You have options of sharing a link and image on Tumblr with your followers.

It has been a long time that I haven't visited my own blog. During that time, I had started to join some social media. This is a good reminder for me if I bring back my drive to do blogging.

This is very helpful to anyone who wants to have their own blogging site. Me either has my own blog site but I did not continue writing on it since I write blogs only for the sites where I am paid. Though having an own site can also be good because there are many affiliate marketing that we can be partnered with.
