Another terrorist attack. This one in France. And the usual statement;
“The culprit was known to the security services.”
If the culprit was know, if he was on any terrorist check list… why was he on the street? Why wasn’t he picked up and detained and questioned, and perhaps placed somewhere he could not engage in terrorism?
It isn’t just France.
The man who killed all those people in Germany was ‘supposed’ to be deported. He had been to prison in Italy. How was this possible?
These are supposed to be first world countries with all kinds of electronic monitoring, all kinds of security. This isn’t some 4th world country where no one knows what is happening, these are nations which are supposed to be far more sophisticated than the rest of the world.
Yet?
If someone was going to be deported in Jamaica they are held in jail until deportation. That’s it. Entry denied, police instantly have the chap in custody and he stays there until deportation. Since we don’t have much money it is usual the country from which he comes from foots the bill.
He will stay in the lock up until the police strap him into that plane.
Anyone who comes to Jamaica looking for asylum is instantly detained until such time as the paper work is done or he is posted back to wherever.
So basically, I can walk into France or Germany and do what I please. Not that I would do more than visit the sites, and take pictures.
What about these people who are ‘known?’ to the security forces. Why are they walking around the streets free to do what they please? Able to get guns, build bombs, kill as many people as they feel like.
How is this possible?
If a person is on the Internet and, pretending the hackers in Europe are half as good as the schoolers in Jamaica, you mean they can’t tell when a guy goes to an ISIS site? When a guy is posting about killing?
In America the other day a guy was chatting about killing, went out and killed someone, put the event on Facebook, and for two hours every one in the world could see it, download it, share it. Two hours?
I think it has become clear to the World that these 1st World Countries are a lot of talk and puffery. They don’t have a fifth of the ‘security’ they claim to have. They aren’t performing all the so-called ‘counter terrorism’ they are being paid to do.
This isn’t the 1960s where there was no Internet, no cell phones, no way of knowing what I was talking about last night.
This is the 2000 when every single cell phone is built to be hacked by the service providers. Where every search is mapped. Where any one can pretty much find out what you are doing.
I mean, if you think X is a ‘threat’ how is it that his computer isn’t hacked? His cell phone isn’t tapped?
And if someone is on the ‘watch list’ why isn’t he being watched?
None of this makes any sense to me, living in the 4th World, watching all those silly dramas which make America seems so capable of tracking down terrorists.
Why is everything that happens is ex post facto?
Really, it seems to me that I am a lot safer in my ‘high crime’ fourth world country than walking in broad daylight in one of those 1st world places.

Very funny. Whether one is living in a 1st state or 4th state it does make any difference for a killer if he wants to kill as many as possible. Neither internet nor hacking will come to the rescue of the public unless people do not feel a social responsibility. What the anti-Terrorism groups do if someone gets down in a car, enters into a cafe and shoots indiscriminately. By the time he gets the message the work will be over.
They are having big data application where they can know what children will a mother would give and at what time. What prescriptions are needed for the child and what temperature is needed for the newborn baby? Everything ..everything they are having ..this is what they pretend to have which is actually not. For a killer does it mean anything. He wants only the number of heads and not the number of hours sitting before the computer.
we can not find fault with the system. This is happening everywhere in the world where these shoot-outs are taking place. We need not depend upon solely on technology. One should have the determination to put a stop to this menace. When they make effective efforts the technology comes into play suddenly and inactivates their activity. They are totally in confusion. A systematic approach is needed. Technology can not be employed each and everywhere. Even if a message or information is sent what purpose will it serve when the recipient does not have time to look at it? If he does not care it? If he does not understand what it is?
Whether it is Jamaica, France, or any country in the world it is ultimately the dedication and a will that is needed to stop it. They are in doldrums as to HIT OR NOT. Why this confusion. Take a decision. The need of the hour is not for waiting. This requires a strong decision to put an end to this menace. Let come what may.
