Writing is a business of selling your knowledge, thoughts and opinions.
Many new writers thought that when they write good quality articles with perfect command of English, the readers will come.
That is not true.
If the article is good, and nobody knows about it, nobody will read it.
It is the same as real businesses out there.
Nobody knows the existence of a business unless you advertise it.
It can have the perfect product, but people will only buy when they need it, and they trust it.
The business of writing is the same.
You know that others will want to know about something, yet you have to advertise the presence of the content.
How do you do it?
The best way is by using a specific keyword to target a group of readers.
This is known as the seo writing.
You have to choose a very narrow niche in order to become a specialist in that niche. Your articles will stand up because there are very few articles competing with you.
One way is to use the scientific name whenever possible.
If you are writing about dog ailments, you will come across Lyme disease. Just using the term “Lyme Disease in dog” is not enough. You have to narrow the niche by using the scientific name of the bacteria, which is Borrelia burgdorferi.
It does make you sound smarter to have the scientific name of the bacteria in the title, such as “how to treat Borrelia burgdorferi infection in dog”.
Too many articles are just talking about Lyme disease without referencing to the bacteria.
If you are used to seo writing, you will naturally cover all the important keywords in your title, introduction, main body, and conclusion.
If you are not used to seo writing, you can write naturally until you have completed the article. At the point of edition, you can add in the keyword phrase to make the articles stand out.
