Why I am Learning R Programming Language for Data Science

These days data science stream is in demand. Many new jobs are being created where data science programming is required. And people are being hired for the same. You may find that big data and the data manipulation jobs are in demand. Though a lot of those jobs are overpriced. But compared to development, you’d find that data manipulation is in demand from many companies. In terms of job requirement and opportunities, there is a lot of demand for this language. Also there are people who are teaching this to others and in process making some good money. I think for this reason alone it would be beneficial to learn R language. In this article, I want to show you what are the benefits of this language and why you should learn this if you want to make career in it.

Easy to Learn

I think the biggest reason to learn this language is because it can be easy to learn it. If you are using the RStudio then even more so. This language is one of the most popular and used language that can help you design good programs for data filtering. You can also manipulate data. And with some packages you can even export data into other formats. Though this may take time and process in order to do it. But it’s an easy process to learn this language, and if you are good at practicing the language then definitely worth going for. I suggest using the R language for programming if you wish to use for data science.

Jobs

I think another important reason to use it is the available set of jobs. R and Python are two languages that are being in use for the data science. You can use them to get the jobs. You can find that jobs using these languages are also high paying. Compared to the testing and thee development you can definitely find the cost of those jobs lot more beneficial. Jobs through the data science often have language choice but most of them are specifically choosing to use R these days. Python is gaining popularity but it has it’s own learning curve and challenges to be handled as the progress goes ahead.

Free

The language is free to download and use. You can find the R compiler setup free to download and use. You can use the compiler from the CRAN. And then you can get started immediately. There is also free IDE. You can download the IDE and then build the programs through it. Using R is not that hard. You just have to get used to the code. There are some of the times there can be definitely something good out of it. It is also open source so you can make your own packages and let other users use the same. I have found that the language has it’s set of benefits and there are daily different contributions for the same.

As you can see there are lot of things to be learned from this language. So I am going ahead to learn this language.
