What Happens When We Sleep

While we sleep, we pass through four to five cycles of sleep per night. Each cycle consists of two phases, fast phase and slow phase. Most people go from the stage of deep sleep to REM sleep and wake up in a very difficult period. In REM sleep the brain is functioning actively. In that REM sleep, we dream and wake up, and we can remember them. Waking up in this phase is easy and comfortable. REM and REM sleep takes place quickly one after the other. REM sleep lasts for about twenty minutes and is slow by about two hours.

At present, there are gadgets that are able to calculate the awakening in REM sleep. Because of it, you will be able to wake up fresh and without any discomfort. How long a man living at different stages of his life should sleep at different life cycles of their life? In childhood, the body is actively growing and developing. So there is much need for sleep. A person in the age group of twenty to fifty years is recommended to sleep for about eight hours a day, while four or five hours is considered as enough for older people.

Sleeping during the daytime continues to be a controversy among specialists.  No one can say for sure whether, daytime sleep is useful or not. At the same time, it is believed harmful to sleep at sunset because of various scriptures on the subject. The most important time to sleep is sleeping until midnight. It is considered important for deep relaxation of the body. It is because during that period the body restores and replenishes the body’s reserves. It is connected with the transition of the circadian rhythm. The ideal time to go through is 5-8 o’clock in the morning. People, who get up after nine are prone to fatigue, reduced immunity, hypertension and migraines.

People getting up after nine in the morning are found to have a decrease in their physical activity. If a person gets up after ten hours of sleep, then he is subject to most chronic diseases. These people find it difficult to assess the situation and make the right decision. They find it difficult to make choices in their life and they just go on about the events in their life. People waking up after eleven hours usually observed fears and suspicion, aversion to live, frustration, lack of interest and depression. According to doctors healthy people sleep for about seven hours.

We pass through four to five rounds of sleep per night when we sleep. The brain is functioning actively in REM sleep. In the REM sleep, dreams appear and we wake up. We can remember this. Waking up in this phase is comfortable and easy. REM as well as REM sleep occurs fast one after the other. REM sleep is slow by about two hours and lasts for about twenty minutes.
