We Don’t Have Snow, But It’s Also So Cold Now, Here in The Philippines !

The Philippines is a tropical climate . It has only two season,  the wet and dry.

Usually the dry season runs from March to May . The next months would be rainy  most of the time,  but the heat would follow after a rain and it means hot weather again.

But December would means the cold front .  The breeze is cold and would be getting colder until February .

And now it is January already and that is what is being experienced here in our province for the past 3 days.  It’s so cold , specially in the early morning.   And I guess, it’s the same in other places here in the Philippines.

But you know , even if it the water in the morning  is so cold , I can now bathe with it .   The previous years , I would still boil water , to temper the cold water .

I don’t know why , but it seems my body has now adapted with the cold water too .

At night , we don’t need to switch on , the electric fans , nor open the screened windows just to have some fresh air .

In fact at night , all the windows at home are  closed already yet it’s still cold.   Can’t help sleeping covered from head to foot with a blanket and  husband and I snuggled close to each other.

Most of all you can see now see that everyone going to their work or outside or even at home are all don in their jackets , sweaters or blazers .  It’s cold,  but I like it so much and I know most people here too.

What I hate though , is this year , it is raining for almost a week now because of the low pressure area as the weather bureau calls it .

I know , in other countries it is much so colder .

I wish everyone who is cold has something that can make them warm, wherever they are .

How I love the cold weather!   But not so cold though.

Do you love your cold weather too ?

    • “She found him standing before the water staring unseeing at its frozen surface. He was shivering. She watched him doubtfully for a moment. 'Po,' she said to his back, where’s your coat?'
      'Where’s yours?'
She moved to stand beside him. 'I’m warm.'
He tilted his head to her. 'If you’re warm and I’m coatless, there’s only one friendly thing for you to do.'
'Go back and get your coat for you?'
He smiled. Reaching out to her, he pulled her close against him. Katsa wrapped her arms around him, surprised, and tried to rub some warmth into his shivering shoulders and back.
'That’s it exactly,' Po said. 'You must keep me warm.'
She laughed and held him tighter.”

      • Indeed , a tight hug can really warm one's body. At night, hubby and I embrace each other to add warmth to our blankets. he he he

    • @Dina, Hi friend? Good for you having a cold climate there , that is because you are near Baguio city the summer capital of the Philppies, and good for you, you have a husband to snuggle with close during sleep mood hehehe, just joking. That is what I am doing during summer season In New Zealand, though summer there, the wind is still cold letting me to cover my body with coats at last two,LOL.

How I wished we also four seasons in the Philippines.

      • Oh no , i don't like winter Cely. Now that it's cold here I find it so cold already. How much more if we have winter. ha ha ha

    • Same thing in Jamaica... which is supposed to be tropical. It is really cold, you have to wear long sleeves and sleep with socks.

      • I guess your country too is affected by the cold front. does it also gets colder in February when the snow are thawing in Siberia?
