Was There Justice On The Removing Of Albert Einstein’s Brain Within Seven And A Half Hours Of His Death?

Albert Einstein (14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955), died in 1955 but his brain was removed and preserved and this fact was not revealed. His immediate relatives did not even know about what they had done to their genius relative. What about you? What is your stand about this personal interest of the Pathologist named Thomas Stoltz Harvey at Princeton Hospital? Why is it that he just removed the brain of the man that attracted the world because of his famous reputation as one of the geniuses of the 20th century? For me, I have to sue that surgeon in court for there was no last will written by a lawyer when Albert Einstein was still alive. That is trespassing, and that surgeon must be interrogated and jailed. That Pathologist was so eager to do the removal of the brain of Einstein because he wants to know how the brain was formed .Harvey wanted supports through personally inspecting the brain of Albert Einstein, still, for me that is an illegal and immoral act of that surgeon. He has no right to do it.

That surgeon wanted support about various ideas in relation to the correlations of Einstein’s neuron anatomy with general or mathematical intelligence. The reason why that Pathologist removed the brain just to know about how the brain of Albert Einstein looked? Einstein is gifted with a very big gray matter that supported intelligence of Einstein’s brain. That surgeon was so intrigued not minding about the trespassing he had done because his main concern is to find out whether  the scientific studies would prove regions involved in speech and language are smaller, while regions involved with numerical and spatial processing are larger. Other studies suggested that Einstein’s brain had extra brain cells that made him genius. So what now if he is genius why did they allow Harvey to be free? He must serve the crime committed. For me that was a crime stealing a person’s brain and said person is not an ordinary person. Where is justice for Einstein?

Einstein’s brain according to the hospital where his brain was removed weighed 1230 g. That doctor after he removed the brain he brought it to a laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania and dissected Einstein’s brain there into several pieces and some he kept to himself  while others were given to leading pathologists. Harvey injected Einstein’s brain with formalin through the internal carotid arteries and suspends other arteries by separately adding 10% formalin contents. The first was injected with 50% formalin. Another worst thing is, Harvey removed Einstein’s eyes and gave them to Henry Abrams, Einstein’s ophthalmologist. What is your say about this matter? Do you like the idea and solo decision of this surgeon? I pity Albert Einstein. Why didn’t his siblings know about this violation? For me, that was a crime.

Dr. Harvey had no prior consent from the direct family of Einstein. They said whether he preserved the pieces of Einstein’s brain, but the prior consent of Einstein is what they are seeking about until this time and this case is still under dispute as to why this doctor stole the brain of Einstein dissected it into pieces ;likewise, removed the eyes of Albert Einstein.

Ronald Clark’s 1979 biography of Einstein stated that Einstein had insisted that his brain should be used for research and that he be cremated, but more recent research has suggested that this may not be true. Einstein’s brain was removed and preserved without the permission of either Einstein or his close relatives. What is preserved not the original one, but pieces from dissection. The son of Einstein Hans Albert Einstein, a physicist’s insisted that his father’s brain should be used only for research to be published in scientific journal of high standing and not to remove the brain and dissect it into pieces.

In 1978,20 years after Einstein’s brain was removed, journalist Steven Levy rediscovered Einstein’s brain in Harvey’s poses son. The brain sections had been preserved in alcohol within a cider box for 20 long years. His lawn was camping out by media men for many days. Harvey has no shame thick face, for me he had done a crime stealing Einstein’s brain. I am sick of this knowledge as to what this surgeon had done to Einstein’s brain. Why didn’t the law sue him?

In 2010, Harvey’s heirs transferred all of his possessions and the remains of Einstein’s brain were brought to the National Museum of Health and Medicine. The heirs of Harvey also brought the 14 photographs of the whole brain which is now in fragments and never before revealed to the public. What can you say about this matter? For me it is so annoying. I never liked the decision of Harvey to steal the brain of Einstein and dissected it into pieces, plus he also blinded Einstein by removing his eyes. If I am a family member of Einstein, I will never allow Harvey to be in complete freedom and enjoying the celebrity like reputation because of Einstein’s brain, he must be jailed.

Just recently, 46 small portions of Einstein’s brain were acquired by the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia .In 2013, these thin slices, mounted on microscope slides, and went on exhibit in the museum’s permanent galleries.

    • I was shocked about this matter because I only learn about this case right now and thank you for sharing. Albert Einsteins are already dead but they killed him again by removing his brain and eyes. In short, he's double dead.

    • If Albert Einstein wanted his body or parts of his body donated to scientific research, then it was simply respecting the wishes of the deceased. (A matter which is conveniently being disputed. Most people write it in their will or find some way to communicate their final wish.)

If it was not per Mr. Einstein's instruction, then it's a desecration and was totally unethical on the part of those who did it.

You have to ask yourself the question:
~ If it was right to do it why did not tell the family first?

Answer: They probably knew it was wrong and the family would object.

Usually when people “sneak” and do something, there's a good chance it's something they know they should not have done. THEY KNOW!

    • @asher ken,Yeah, the public never knew. This is learned only recently in when Dr. Harvey passed away and is relatives discovered some dissected pieces of Einsteins brain and brought those pieces preserved in alcohol to a museum. I was indeed mad to that theft of Einsteins brain his son himself wa mad, but all he could do is endorsed about what had already done by that doctor Harvey.

    • @Treathyl FOX , That was the source of dispute by people in the world who happen to know about this trespassing done by his pathologist Dr. Harvey. His son, in fact did not like the late knowledge of the removal of his father's brain for when his father was still alive, he instructed his family to use his brain only for research study but never had he ordered in his will to remove his brain from his head. That was a brutal crime done by Harvey for he kept it secretly. There were only two f them that new it at first and the other one was Einstein pulmunulogist. he kept some but before accepting the dissected eyes of Einsteins, he was instructed or told about Harvey's reason why he did it without permission , the world only knew it late and Harvey was dead. That was 20 years secret crime. For me, it was a crime.I hate Harvey. I hope God gave him harsh punishment in the other world.
