Many of us go through different situations in life and people  do not need to worry about the good times they have during the course of their life. But it is the difficult or bad times or the times of adversity that they really have to worry about. But the good thing is there is one thing we have with us during that adverse period and that is time. The qualities of time is it was there before we came, it continues to be there with us since the time of our birth and it will also be there in the future even we cease to exist in this world.

Thus time possesses a wealth of information and wisdom from which we can learn many things and the two more important things time does is it is a great teacher for those who respect it and would like to learn from it and it also is a great healer too as any difficulty whatsoever it be we face time has the ability to heal it if we understand and respect time. Let us see how time teaches and heals  to different people in different situations.

All of us face failure in life since childhood. It may be failure to get a candy, a toy or a dress etc. in childhood. When we grow up the failure changes to our inability to get things like good grades, succeed in sports, extracurricular activities and other pursuits which are aspired at that age. When one grows up it changes to failure to get a job, a good salary, to get a job in the top company, to get a raise, to get leave etc. Failure will also be in the form of not being able to marry the person one loves, not being able to attract the opposite sex, not being physically fit, falling in love and the person ditching the individual and going for some one else etc. Later it can be being unable to bear a child or rear a child, child or wife being unwell and such other situations which may be encountered. As one ages it will be failure when one is unable to get their children married, or provide   proper  education to children,  unable to see that the child goes into a right profession etc. As one ages problems will be like health issues, marital discords, problems at work, health giving away, being dependent on others  and other such issues.

What does time teach us in these failures let us see. It teaches how to try again, it also teaches us the thought of never giving up in life, it also teaches one to always have hope in life, it also teaches us to remember the good times we had and reduce the negative phase which we are currently passing, it teaches us not to be whining when we face problems and always accept a challenge with a smile, it also teaches us that we overcame the earlier problems and this too shall pass, it teaches us to be patient with ourselves and with others too, it teaches us to respect success howsoever small it may be whenever it graces us, it also teaches to maintain good relations with people whom we interact in life over the course of time, it teaches and inspires us to see the lives of great personalities and try to emulate the good things which we find in the or the qualities which we can imbibe from their personality, it teaches how to take failure in our stride and also get up and walk whenever situations make us fall on the ground, it teaches us to buck up and be ready to face the challenges which are waiting for us, it teaches us how to love and build friendly trustworthy healthy relationships, it also teaches us to value important relationships which we have in our life and to not take them for granted which we all generally tend to do. They are so many things that time teaches us if we are willing to learn that we can live a happy and contended life if we follow the teachings of time sincerely.

Time also has the capacity to be a great healer. It is possible for pain or difficulty to heal if we go by the principles of time and respect it. It teaches how to heal relationships by forgiving the one whom we hate, it also teaches one how not to mull over the past and move on after having picked up the pieces of life. Time makes one forget the troublesome moments which we faced and are ashamed to remember of. It also makes one forget the grudges which we hold to our heart and teaches us to give another chance to the person against whom we hold the grudge. It heals the physical would the body has suffered due to some accident and makes us how we were before we had the accident. It teaches us how not to hurt someone and heals and cures the strain in the relationship between the two individuals. It also teaches us how to learn to forgive ourselves and in the process heals us. It gives us an outlet to express our pent up anger and emotions and allows us to be who we normally are and thus provides the healing touch required to our mind. These are some of the few ways time plays the healer and it does so effectively.

Many of us do not seem to give time the value and respect it deserves and just look at it as something which is there in a clock or in a wrist watch. We fail to realize that it guides our path at each turn of events in our life. Many also fail to appreciate the good times time offers and only seem to remember sad events well. If a person has got 99 good things from time our of 100 that individual seems unfortunately seems to remember that 1 bad thing well that the 99 good events he has enjoyed. Times are good and also are bad too people seem to fail to appreciate the whole time they got as a package and indulge in nit picking which is not a advisable thing to do. Many fail to respect and value the lessons which time imparts as they are so involved in themselves that they cannot see farther than that. If people change this attitude and learn to respect time and its benefits which they enjoy they would be at more ease with themselves and with those others around them.

Time respects one and all equally and treats all equally and impartially. It for us individuals to know how to use time in a effective way. Time management techniques form an important of this process. It takes years dedication and years to master this technique. Time management is an art in itself. The person who knows how to manage time will also know how to manage life well. The person who takes the lessons which time imparts and imbibes the same will become a successful person in life. Nothing succeeds like success and time is the key for this.

Time management also teaches one the art of healing oneself and others too through proper mind management techniques. Time teaches one how to be focused in life and if one is focused he can have a vision and  aim for  a goal and work towards achieving the same in a fixed time frame. All these are interlinked and the sooner one understands this the better it is for the individual and those around him and the society as a whole. As the saying goes ‘Time And Tide Wait For None’.

    • Time is really a great teacher. When we were young, we do not care about anything and everything, but as time passes, we mature and then we learn a lot in life. We learn to value relationships, we learn to hope for a bright future, we hope for a better life when we became so old and retire. By then we wish that time would be longer for us, to have longer life on earth. We wish for more time!

      • What you say is absolutely, generally the first 25 years of our time is spent understanding time and time management. The next 25 is spent perfecting how we are still not getting more time than what we would want. the next 25 is spent what we could have done better. If we are lucky to survive after this with good health the last twenty five is spent telling others in the way of teaching our experience.

What they can do and what happened when we did not do the same. The consequences we faced and the experiences which life taught us. When we tell people at this age generally we will not have a biased view. That is the greatest advantage.
