I am no architect but always had interest in designing. I got to do that when I had the dream of designing my own house which is where we are living today.
I had heard about the benefits of the house facing the East. And that is how our house was built – facing the East.
The happiest about this decision to face the East is the sun. The sun is a regular visitor to our house. It starts showing up around 7 and travels right on top till around noon and slowly descends at the back of our house.
It sits with us at breakfast time, peeping right the Venetian blinds.
It tries to enter our property staying for a while quite near our gate. I summon it inside and it does not hasten to accept my invitation. It lights up the garden in no time.
Before it sets it throws its glow on Solitaire – the name of our house.
I do not need to take vitamin D as I get a good amount of it every single day.
While on our terrace it happily shows itself merrily throwing light on our lawn which is planted on our terrace.
I love to watch the sun from our terrace as it splashes its light all over within my view.
Clicking pictures which is a passion with me where the sun is my main subject. I dare not look at it directly as the light is so intense it can blind me instantly.
Today I could not even look at the camera screen as it was so intense. I just clicked it blindfolded so to say
Have a rendezvous with the sun and your day is done. You can do it on the beach or even climbing mountains. There you will get to see the sun giving out intense colours.

I like the house which receives a direct rays of the sun. I am not a supertitious person, but I believe that sun rays may bring anything good to the people living in the said house. Sunshine may mean something bright, something wonderful, something beneficial to those who received.
Life begins once the sun shines. This means everyone starts working, starts doing their job, completing their unfinished task for it is another day to work on it. Sun gives everyone the hope for everything would be fine. Just like a line from the popular song of the 5th Dimension entitled "The Age of Aquarius", let the sunshine in.
As per the Vastu principle a house should face the East and ours does exactly that. It is a bonus really that we can see the sunrise right from our house.
