the story oa a king named shahriar

They include the Abbasid caliph Harun al-Rashid, his minister Jaafar al-Baramqi and the famous poet Aba Nawas. Although these figures emerged about 200 years after the fall of the Sassanid Empire, which appears to be the origin of the story, they appear in a number of other tales contained in the book.

Sometimes some of the characters in Sheherazade’s stories narrate stories containing other characters, some of which contain other stories within them, resulting in a coherent texture from the narrative. [9]

A number of versions differ in the details of the end of the story, some of which mention that Sheherazade asks for amnesty, others mention that King Shahriar when he sees their children decides not to execute them, while some say that the king remains puzzled, Shahriar about his wife and Shahrzad and retreat from his habit of killing women.

Narrator’s style gives an interesting end, which is wider than it is in modern literature. In several cases, Shehrazade stops in the middle of the novel to identify some abstract philosophical principles or some of Islamic philosophy. In one case, she detailed a description of human anatomy according to Galen, and in all these cases she wants to increase The king’s curiosity about the sequence of stories, hoping to keep her alive longer

The main storyline of the tales of “One Thousand and One Nights” tells the story of a king named Shahriar. It began when the king discovered that his brother’s wife was a traitor. He was shocked by this, and the discovery of his wife’s betrayal of him was also intolerable. Her execution, he felt that all women are wrong. King Shahriar married the virgins, daily, where the bride was killed on the night of the wedding, before taking the chance to betray him. After a while, the minister, who was in charge of offering a bride to the king, could not find any more virgins. His daughter Shahrazad then offered herself to be the bride of the king, and her father reluctantly agreed. On the night of their marriage, Shehrazad began to tell a tale of the king but did not end it. This intrigued the king to hear the end of the story, prompting him to postpone her execution to listen to the end of the story. The next night, when she finishes telling the story of a new story, the king yearns to hear its end, and so on, until it has completed a thousand nights.

Different stories are diverse, and include historical and fairy tales and tragic and comedy, poetic, fictional, mythological, in addition to several types of sexual stories. There are many stories that describe the jinn, the ghouls and the monkeys. There are also stories about witches, charlatans and mythical places, which often overlap with real people and places on the ground, but they are not always logical.
