For the whole Christendom, the Holy Week starting from Palm Sunday is the holiest of season throughout the year. The whole Christian World commemorates the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our dear Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Lord Jesus Christ ultimate sacrifice of His very life on the Cross of Calvary or Mt. Golgotha or the Mount of the Skull, makes our Lord Jesus Christ Life the most sublime and incomparable life among the known religious teacher in the world and in any of the world religious tradition.
As we enter the Holy Week let us pray, reflect, contemplate and meditate upon the Last Seven Words of our Lord Jesus Christ while His hands is spread and nailed on the cross and His feet for our own and the world salvation.
“Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
This is the first words of our Lord Jesus Christ among His Seven Last Words. We must note the three (3) most important words on those sentences “Father”, “forgive”, and “do not know what they do”.
Even to the last minute of the Life of our Lord Jesus Christ, while hanging on the cross He never forget the heavenly Father. This is consistent with the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, “You shall love your LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
Take note also the word “Father” which implies closeness of relationship and the status of Sonship of our Lord Jesus Christ as well as the acknowledgement of authority of the Father.
The first word of our Lord Jesus Christ is directed to no other human beings but to the Source of All Life and Creation in the Universe. Even unto death there is the acknowledgment of the Fatherhood of God above anything else and above all creation.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is talking, conversing and having a one on one dialogue, sort of a heart to heart talk with the Father, while feeling all the pain and soreness all
over His body, all the tiredness and all the heaviness of the cross, while his body is bleeding, sweating and trembling.
Despite all the pain, all the anguish, and all the emotional trauma that His gone through, our Lord Jesus Christ never ever forget the Father. He could easily forget the Father for all the physical, psychological and emotional pain that He is going through right there and then on the cross.
But the thing is our Lord Jesus Christ never ever forgets the Father. How many times did our Lord Jesus Christ talks to the Father during His entire life even before His crucifixion on the cross? How many times did our Lord Jesus Christ pray in a day—from the time that our Lord Jesus Christ wakes up in the morning until He close His very eyes in the evening.
The relationship between a Father and Son is a very special kind of relationship, in the same way that the relationship between a Mother and a Child is also a kind of special relationship. (to be continue)

We re-enact his journey known as Stations while meditating what each point along the way means and who Jesus interacted with and why. We also re-enact the Lord's Supper and specifically remember the washing of feet with Jesus stating he came to serve, not to be survive. As we come to the close of the week we remember Jesus on the cross and the conversations he had while hanging there till his death. and lastly we close the week on a joyful note with him rising from the dead.
