Some More Thoughts on Reincarnation

Some days ago I was thinking about Reincarnation.  I was wondering if people had been here before, if the soul moves from body to body.

I know there are people who claim to remember their past lives, and those who don’t.  But if one had lived before, they would have learned certain lessons, or experienced events, and maybe this is what effects their behaviour today.

Maybe the life they had lived, the soul memories they had retained effect their behaviour today, although they are not aware of it?

For example, I’ve met people who virtually dedicate their lives to a ’cause’.    Whatever the cause happens to be, it seems to take up their whole lives.

This ’cause’ comes first, before family, friends, employment, fun.

The cause may be political or social, it may be charity or kindness; it could be taking care of abandoned puppies or running a homeless shelter, or fighting for equality.

What ever their ’cause’ happens to be they seem to be driven, they seem to shut the door on everything else as if this ’cause’ is their reason for living.

I wonder, that maybe, in their past lives they had lived for themselves, letting others suffer, and at the very end of their lives they had a sudden realisation of how despicable they are and resolved to repair it.

On the other hand, there are people who can’t do enough for themselves.   They want more and more.  They are never satisfied.

They stuff their faces, they worship money, they fill their lives with all sorts of stuff and there is no logical basis.

They are fat, yet behave as if they are starving, eating and eating.   They have money, but it isn’t enough and they want more.
