Some Little Tips To Save Money (1)

These tips are not just  easy, they are almost no brainers.  I use them without thinking.   So you can imagine when someone saw me and had this; “What are you Doing?” look on her face.

It happened when I was washing the dishes.

What do you usually do?   I bet you fill the sink with water, soak the plates, then use a sponge with washing up liquid.  Or do you squirt your liquid onto a sponge, get lots of suds, soap up the dishes, then have to rinse them off and rinse off your sponge?

Here’s what I do.

As I get my liquid home, I pour it out  into another container.  Then I fill the ’empty’ container with water.  I use that, because it works, leaves little suds, doesn’t need much water to rinse off.

I squirt it on my sponge and use it to wash the dishes.   I act as if the very thin soap is full strength.

Remember, less suds mean less suds to wash off, mean less water wasted.

No one believes that this can work, until they try.   It seems incredible that a tiny bit of liquid soap in that ’empty’ bottle  is as good as full strength.   Actually, it is better as there are less suds.  And you know you have to make sure you get all the soap off your dishes before you think of using them again.

Now after you have used up that liquid, you repeat the process.   You  the soap liquid back into the original bottle  and use the other bottle, filled with water.   It works just as good.

You keep going back and forth, transferring the washing up liquid from one container to another, using only the residue, until you have about a half inch of liquid left.

Yeah, it will be pretty thin, by this time, for this time is Months later.  Months of use from one purchase of washing up liquid.

You save money, and you also save a great deal of water by not having endless suds to wash off.
