Most couples married for some time without children pass through verbal scourges from partners, relations and the public.Some people talk with such impunity as if they are God that gives children.
Some relations keep releasing evil words mainly to the wife.Some of the words used are,”she has aborted all children in her womb”,”she has no womb”,all her system of bearing children has been blocked by diseases”.Names like “a fruitless tree”,”good for food alone”,”good for nothing,dry tree” etc.
For the husband,some men and women say that”he is not a man”,meaning that the husband is so sick that he cannot pregnant his wife.Some call him “empty carton”,”Mr.Eunuch”.Some will jokingly tell him,”go and hire somebody for the work”.Laughter and jeering of people follow the couple even after greeting people on the road.
For the wife,her fellow women will advice her to abscond from her matrimonial home.Some of her fellow women secretely tell the wife to try making love to other healthy men without the knowledge of her husband.Some men may corner the wife, advicing her that they “do the job for her, which her husband cannot do”.
In Africa and other parts of the world,some relations come to tell the couple to go to the hospital to check who among the couple is responsible for the delay in having children.Some people do offer themselves to take the couple to native doctors to find out why they have not started producing children.This worsens their case.The native doctors will multiply their sorrows by initiating them into a cult knowingly or unknowingly.The couple will be exposed to so many evil spiritual excercises and sacrifices which drains their pockets and does not guarantee procreation.However,this behaviour is normal with our society but abnormal if you are a christian.
Going to diviners,socerers,charmers,enchanters,sootsayers will definitely extend the battle.If you are in this problem,sew and wear a coat of patience and pray always until you reach the end of the road,that is, getting pregnant and having your own children.Any marriage under the above condition,should be more prayerful,stay together,move together,console each other and should not accuse themselves.Always remind God of His word and practice it.The word of God says” Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh ,receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”(Matthew7:7-8)
