Situations and Optimism the Mix of Results

Situation

We can know what people are thinking by looking at

what they do. Actions mirror thoughts. And by taking

a good look at where we are and what we are doing,

we can understand what we are thinking. The thoughts

we have chosen have brought us where we are today.

Every man is where he is by the law of his being; the thoughts

which he has built into his character have brought himthere.

How we think shows through in how we act. Attitudes

are mirrors of the mind. They reflect thinking.

As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men

say. I just watch what they do.

You can preach a better sermon with your life than with your lips.

By the work one knows the workman.

Optimism

This is the law of optimism: Every negative has a

positive. We cannot have the good without the bad.

With every loss comes a gain. And within every

difficulty, there’s an opportunity. Seeing success

where others see only failure may be the one thing

that pushes us on to victory.

Polarity, or action and reaction, we meet in every

part of nature; in darkness and light; in heat and

cold; in the ebb and flow of waters; in male and

female; in the inspiration and expiration of plants

and animals; in the equation of quantity and quality, in the

fluids of the animal body, in the systole and diastole of the heart.

Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.

In every adversity there lies the seed of an equivalent

advantage. In every defeat there is a lesson showing

you how to win the victory next time.

I always tried to turn every disaster into an opportunity.

Even a mistake may turn out to be the one thing

necessary to a worthwhile achievement.

Never walk away from failure. On the contrary,

study it carefully – and imaginatively – for its hidden assets.

Develop success from failures. Discouragement and

failure are two of the surest stepping stones to

success. No other element can do so much for a man

if he is willing to study them and make capital out of them.

One sees the mud, and one the stars.

Sometimes a step back is the best way to go
