I have often thought about this commonly advised topic that a man should become good or behave well but I never found a satisfactory answer of this particular question. My question is why should I become good according to your choice?
I agree that a person should behave well, talk politely or do as per set rules of society but the problem begins when others want me to behave as per their own set rules. I agree with them as far I have no personal problem with their own rules but beyond that I refuse because I do not want to act as per their selfish demands.
However, there is no doubt about the fact that most of us have forgotten about good deeds or basic rules of the society we live in. Many of us believe that rules are made to follow by others but they can do what they like because that is in their personal benefit.
I have often heard people saying you have done this or that which was not in your own interest. Or you should have done this or that which could benefit two of us. I never felt like giving them a response because my answer would not be liked by him or would not have been within the so-called decency.
With my long experience of life I have reached to a simple conclusion that everybody has his own scale of good and bad and as long he finds you personally beneficial you are good for him otherwise he is entitled to suggest you, “You should try to become good”.
I would like to give my own humble version of good or bad according to my own views in the end. In my views comparison in between good and bad is a comparative statement. We cannot define any of these according to what others expect from us but the answer lies in the fact that what we expect from ourselves or what our consciousness allows us to do.

For me, I am actually basing my actions according to what is being taught by Jesus in the Holy bible. As simple as that.
In my opinion, if we are a firm believer of Jesus and put into heart and mind his teaching at the Holy bible , we will be good persons.
Being good is dependent on how other perceive actions as good or bad actually. But when you follow Jesus teachings you can be sure that you will be a good person. :)
