On Thursday, in one of the areas of Delhi NCR(National Capital Region), some unidentified gangsters surrounded SUV of a local leader, who had security guards and fired with AK-47 automatic rifles. The fact that the SUV was strong and the security men also fired back lead to the assailants fleeing away.
The injured people including the leader were taken to a nearby hospitals where they all are having treatment.
The incident took place at 8 o’ clock in the night.
The fact that the assailants had automatics point to it being a highly organized crime, and who knows there might be some political element too to this.
This was with a politician with security, but what about common men, or even a bit rich person, with no political connection?
What if the assailants had opened fire in a bazaar full of common folks? Many would have been killed or injured.
Now, one can keep on blaming local police, or Intelligence agencies.
Yet, socially, what leads to making of such criminals? Is it unemployment? Poverty? Hunger?
Or degrading social and moral values.
Can a sum of 5 lakh rupees be enough for a person to start firing automatics or local made pistols and kill and maim people?
I do not think most of such criminals have any ideology, except ideology of killings and making money of killing. Perhaps some are forced into such things, but most are unconcerned whether their own live(s) will end abruptly, or what will happen of their own families.
One thinks of why there family did not try to ween them away from crime? May be, they start believing in the ideology of killings? Or perhaps that person does not listens to them?
Some might not even be aware as to what such guys are up to.
As a society, what we can do to reduce or eliminate such cases? Well, perhaps we can start working on reducing prejudices, hatred based on caste or religion or places from where we come from.
Perhaps we need to pay the security guards, the rickshawwallahs, the sweepers more, and more than that appreciate what they do.
Also, we ought not think of all rich people as evil, and greedy. And not all middle class people ar callous and indifferent.
And yes, politicians need to understand that a better educated and prosperous citizen is more beneficial for them in the longer run than those who are marginalized, poorly fed and clothed.
Perhaps, these things are ideal, but if we start working in this direction, the day when people will not kill each other with automatics will be achieved.
So, what will those automatics be used for? Perhaps- to fight an alien attack 🙂

Things are getting worse nowadays. The root cause of choosing to be criminals due to poverty. It has been old issues in every part of the world. Who can help them? Is it the government? Whatever the reasons are, the poverty should take focus more than uplifting oneself. It is commonly seen to politicians that have his personal agendas.
Crime is the part of every society because crime and criminal both are part and parcel nature wise but the root of crime all over the world is injustice of the government and its ministers who rule the country with greed and partially.
As we have seen that laws for the poor are different and laws for the rich are different why? It produces criminal in our society and the poor and the rich fall prey to the criminals.
Crime and society are closely linked – for better and for worse. Society is strongly affected by crime, both due to the cost of crime, as well as the decline in the quality of life that citizens suffer as a result of crime.
However, society can also play a role in reducing and deterring crime. Many agencies and programs in the crime prevention field are based on societal and community efforts.
The fear of crime in any society is as damaging as the act of crime itself. It is emotionally taxing for the people who live in fear in high-crime communities. The fear of crime can negatively affect the residents' behavior, reduce community organization and deter new businesses from wanting to open in the area for fear of being robbed. This adds to the economic woes of an area heavy with crime.
The law enforcement organizations of high-crime areas generally utilize an increased visibility, but this often backfires in low-income areas, causing the population to see the police as the enemy.
