I signed up for RedGage several years ago. The tagline or description for this site is: “RedGage is a website that pays you for your content and monetizes your social activity.” Our relationship did not get off to a good start. It worked at first. Then it stopped working. Many users complained. I was not satisfied but I kept my account open. Then the owners fixed it. Now it’s working. (I think.) It seems to work better with the Chrome browser than with Firefox browser, but either way, it is working much better now.
My account shows that I’ve earned about $15. But it has showed the same amount for years. A few months back, pennies began to accumulate. I don’t look to receive payment from RedGage for any of my activity. However, the minimum withdrawal or payout is $25, should I have a change of heart. Have never redeemed so I can’t supply any feedback.
It’s supposed to be a social account. But I don’t socialize there. My time is spent interacting in communities like Literacy Base, myLot, Niume, etc. or Facebook and Google Plus.
So you may be thinking:
It’s a valid question. 🙂
Reason 1: I use it because it has an “Integrations” feature. You can connect your social media accounts and your blogs and it will automatically post and keep your profile timeline updated with activity. That activity may or may not generate income. It depends. But so what! It requires no work or extra effort on my part. Once I link the accounts the posts and links get shared via the interface or “integration” process.
Reason 2: The second reason I use it is because it is a respected backlink. The search engines find stuff you posted at RedGage quicker than they find it at your own blog or website. I know this because I have search for my content and found the RedGage link-share appearing higher in the search results than my own original link. So here’s a TIP! If you’re trying to get traffic to your sites, share the link on RedGage. People might find the link there and then go visit your blog.
Reason 3: Sharing is super easy!! You can share using the “Integrations” feature mentioned above. But the manual “upload” process for sharing blog posts, images, links and videos is also very easy. You can share as much as you like. If you go into the dashboard and view the “Money Balance / Account Activity” you can see how much income is generated from what you share.
This can be a reason, although it’s not listed as one of my reasons.
Reason to Use RedGage: You can use the platform to publish a blog, if you don’t want to use Blogspot or WordPress or some other blog publishing application for a stand alone blog.
