Our Relative Said President Is Scary

When we asked our relative from United States if they will have a vacation this Christmas season, unfortunately Aunt Carrie replied in negative. When we asked why, she replied…

“President is scary!”

Aunt Carrie is living in California and has been living there for more than 20 years together with her family. Once in a while they will take some vacation here in the Philippines. It’s been a long time she did not see her hometown country.

Too bad, she is not interested to have vacation this time of the administration of President Rody Duterte. Of course the reason is obvious, first, the continuous extra judicial killings on the drug personalities in the Philippines; second is the unrelenting bashing of Mr. Duterte to President Barack Obama and the US government.

I told my wife to tell Auntie that contrary to her notion of fear, we have a peaceful community right now because the lawless elements like criminals are afraid to do crimes. Criminals don’t dare to do it because they know where they will go if they commit such crime… death or penitentiary.

Still, she said Duterte is scary.

We cannot blame her. She was updated with what is happening through news. She has heard how the Duterte uttered bad words against her host country. He badmouthed the president of US and the government of them. That must give her not a good impression to the new president of our country.

Of course Duterte doesn’t mean to hurt the feelings of dual citizens and migrants and OFW who are working in US. Actually, he invited the Filipinos all over the world to visit the country and his protection for them is guarantee.

No more bullet planting modus in the airport in his administration. The guarantee is going out to all Filipino including those living in the US. There will be no crime for them. The president knows the important of Filipinos all over the world so he gave his word for them.###

    • Yes you say right when president of any country defends self in stead of public he has no rights to rule the country. He must resign anon for the betterment of country but it does not so all the presidents of the whole world always defend selves and let the followers die on the road.

It is just due to democracy that is the best way to befool the public because they get votes via democracy and after elected they do what they want it is entirely against democracy.

I have pondered over the nature of democracy it creates monarchy in the country because votes are got in the name of democracy and after this they do as they wish and this situation makes president scary and timid.

Such peoples cannot defend country from enemies that is why they keep security with self on which countless money spent means the money of public but they embezzle the money self in the name of democracy.
