Everyone time from time feels anger. But it is used to think that it is not good to show your anger. Psychologists say that it is necessary to express your anger and better to do it without harming others or yourself. Otherwise, anger, like any other suppressed strong emotion, sooner or later manifests itself in your body: you will bear over stressed muscle pain or you will have migraine pain. Regular anger suffering, as well as a high level of stress, can eventually lead to diseases. Increased chances to suffer from heart disease, diabetes, weakened immunity; you can suffer from insomnia problems, increased blood pressure.
Suffering of chronic anger sense can influence other mental problems such as depression. Studies show that unexpressed anger in spouses’ disputes may increase the likelihood of dying from heart disease or stress. The risk is significantly lower for those who are capable to express their anger. If anger is normal, but not expressed emotion have such harmful consequences for our health, what to do, that such effects would be minimal or not at all?
First of all, monitor your anger and how you feel it. Recognize your anger and manage it. Be creative. Writing, singing, listening to music, performance and design, dance or painting – soothes, relieves stress and reduces feelings of anger. Furthermore, such activities stir up the other brain areas, unless your main job is related to the creativity.
Talk about your feelings. Discussion of your feelings with a friend can help you look at the situation differently, to find other solutions or options. Speaking is soothing you. Find a trusted person who would be able to listen, understand and help you calm down and discussing the difficult life situation. It is important to note that your anger is your responsibility. Failing to control it, do not give up. Try to help yourself – do not pour anger on the surrounding, beloved or child. No one can make us angry – unless we allow.
